Musician Zach Bryan deactivated his Twitter account on Wednesday, just a day after a controversial post about Taylor Swift and Kanye West.
The 28-year-old singer tweeted Tuesday night: “Eagles > Chiefs Kanye > Taylor who’s with me.”
Swifties immediately responded negatively to the post and less than a day later he deactivated his account on the social media platform.
The singer is still active on Instagram, with over 4.7 million followers, but last month he deactivated his Instagram after a heated tirade about parenthood.
However, he did post some Kanye West songs on his Instagram story, but they have since expired.

The post was quickly criticized by Swifties, and less than a day later he deactivated his account on the social media platform
However, he did post numerous Kanye West songs on his Instagram story, which have since expired
Bryan has long been an avid fan of the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles, and Swift’s friend Travis Kelce plays for the Kansas City Chiefs.
It’s unclear what prompted the tweet, but crowds of Swifties immediately took the lead in defending the singer.
One X user, @wavessarewavess, said: ‘Zach Bryan not being able to stand work anymore and deleting his Twitter account because he knows he’s messed up the minute he mentions Taylor Swift is so f***ing funny.’
Another, @crashyuck, said: ‘Really bad comment especially after all the weird stuff Kanye has said.’
Others defended Bryan, such as @Nickym49, who said, “I will follow him as soon as he comes back. He’s my favorite now.”
More Swifties found his most recent Instagram post on Tuesday, with several people commenting, “Taylor Swift > Zach Bryan.”
Bryan began posting his songs on YouTube in 2017 and his debut album DeAnn (dedicated to and named after his late mother) was released in 2019.
His second album Elisabeth and EP Quiet, Heavy Dreams were released in 2020, after which he signed with Warner Music in 2021.

His major label debut album, American Heartbreak, was released in 2022 and became an instant hit thanks to its hit single “Something In the Orange.”
The song debuted at #55 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, eventually peaking at #10. The album debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
In August 2023, he released his self-titled album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It included his first No. 1 single, I Remember Everything featuring Kacey Musgraves.
His fifth album, The Great American Bar Scene, was released in July and features guest artists such as John Mayer and Bruce Springsteen.
