“For those that haven’t tried white vinegar for cleaning shower heads,” Lindsay said as she showed the results of the cleaning hack.

Before cleaning the shower head, it was clogged with lots of limescale disrupting the water flow.

Limescale is a substance mainly made up of calcium and magnesium which is left behind when hard water evaporates explains Taps UK.

It produces a hard, chalky deposit and builds up where water is heated or left standing.

But Lindsay hated how unsightly it looked and took measures into her own hands.

She grabbed a plastic bag and filled it with white vinegar before tying it onto the shower head.

She then let it sit for 18 hours before removing the bag.

“I then used a toothbrush and damp cloth. Took all of 20 seconds,” she added.

She used the toothbrush to remove the built-on stains and it quickly dissolved.

After, her shower head looked brand new again and she was chuffed with the results.

The post was a hit in the Facebook group, Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips, which boasts almost 500k members.

Mrs Hinch became an online sensation with over 4.8 million Instagram followers thanks to her cleaning and organisation videos.

People were quick to thank her for the easy cleaning hack.

One person wrote: “Thanks – amazing difference – well done.”
