Tom Cruise sparks chaos in small UK town as he films death-defying plane stunts – and fans catch it on camera

HOLLYWOOD star Tom Cruise has sparked chaos in a small UK town after filming a death-defying plane stunt for a new movie.

The moment was caught on camera as Tom, 62, who is infamous for doing all his own stunts, was filmed by a fan carrying out his stunt and flying over houses in the small town.

People took to social media after seeing Tom in the air and said he should apologise

Despite Tom’s impressive stunts, which were taking place in Bicester, one person took to social media to issue a playful ‘complaint.’

They wrote: “So now I know who to complain to about flying low over my property!!! I demand an in person apology with flowers and a tux.”

Others commented on the path the planes seemed to be taking around the area, as someone penned: “Saw the biplane and helicopter going back and forth this morning over Arncott.”

Another added: “Saw it this morning over ambrosden ,wondered what was going on.”

A third said: “They made it all the way to Buckingham today, two biplanes and a helicopter.”

Tom has done over 30 jumps per day and over 500 skydives in total and has some daring, wild, and death-defying stunts to his name.

One of which is his HALO jump, short for High Altitude, Low Opening, which involves skydivers leaping from a higher altitude than usual and delaying the opening of their parachute until they are much closer to the ground.

And Tom performed his own HALO jump stunt… with a broken ankle.

He had already fractured it while filming the most highly praised entry in the Mission: Impossible franchise.

Yet he still boarded that plane, ascended to 25,000 feet, and made the jump.

Tom told Wired that he doesn’t mind doing these dangerous stunts: “I’ve always done outrageous physical stunts, even as a kid. My mother had incredible patience.”

More recently, Tom showed off his stuntman skills at the Paris Olympics.

As Paris handed the baton to Los Angeles, Tom seemed completely unfazed despite the 115-foot-high drop as he was greeted by the elated athletes.

The Hollywood star then hopped onto a motorcycle to take the Olympic flag on a joyride out of the stadium.

A pre-recorded video then showed Tom riding past classic Parisian landmarks like the Eiffel Tower before arriving at an airport.

After boarding the aircraft, the Top Gun actor could be seen skydiving out of the plane and later landing in Los Angeles.

The iconic movie star then trekked the flag up to the famous Hollywood sign before he passed it on to US cyclist Kate Courtney.

And that was not the first time he was involved in an Olympic ceremony – he carried the torch through LA as a part of a global relay for the 2004 games in Athens.

Tom’s stunt comes after the star set tongues wagging this summer after becoming “inseparable” from a singer he met at Glastonbury.

The Hollywood heavyweight has since invited Victoria Canal, 25, to watch him on set and has even flown her in his helicopter.

The pair first became friends after meeting at the British festival in June, but sources then said their relationship has blossomed into something more.

Eyebrows were first raised when he invited her onto the set of Mission: Impossible 8 in Oxfordshire.

Crew members at the time described it as “bizarre”, adding: “Tom invited Victoria to watch him film for the whole day and that is just not something he does for his random friends.

Noting the pair’s 35-year age gap, the insider continued: “It might have seemed unlikely that they would become anything more than friends but they are pretty much inseparable.

“They have been seeing a lot of one another and Victoria is beautiful. It’s all been happening in plain sight.”
