40-year-old Dana Dewayne Mitchem of Stony Point has been arrested by Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies on charges of felony breaking & entering, felony larceny after breaking & entering, and misdemeanor resisting arrest. He was taken into custody after Deputies responded to a larceny call Monday morning (September 16). Mitchem was also charged with a series of felony probation violations.
He was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled on the 16th. No additional court dates in Alexander County are currently listed.
