Spartanburg County man arrested on multiple child sex crime charges, more victims sought

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A Spartanburg County man is in jail after deputies said he forced an underage boy to expose his private parts to him and took photographs of the child.

According to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, Timothy Curtis Goode, 65, of Pacolet, is facing eight counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of criminal solicitation of a minor. Goode was arrested on Friday.

According to the sheriff’s office, on August 30, a mother and her son told investigators Goode had hired the boy, whom Goode knew, to do some yard work for him.

After work was completed, Goode reportedly invited the victim inside his home where he repeatedly asked the victim to expose himself and grabbed the boys genitals.

The victim told investigators he did not think he would be allowed to leave until he did Goode asked, so he complied and Goode allegedly took photos of the boy. Afterwards, Goode offered the boy snacks and something to drink before taking him back home, investigators said.

A search warrant for Goode’s phone reportedly revealed the explicit photos taken of the victim, as well as photos of another unidentified boy who investigators think may reside in Greenville County.

Goode remains in jail after a magistrate deferred his bond arrangements to a circuit court judge.

Investigators said based on evidence gathered so far they believe Goode may have also committed similar acts with other victims.
