Roc Royal, also known as Santo August, was a member of the boy band Mindless Behavior. He was arrested in 2016 for battery, having a weapon, and robbery.
He pleaded guilty and was expected to be out of prison by 2018, but he is still incarcerated.
Sammy About Her Breakup With Roc Royal
His ex-fiancée Sammy recently gave an interview and shared details about their relationship. She explained that despite rumours, they were never legally married but had a “domestic partnership.” Roc Royal proposed to her while she visited him in prison.
Sammy said, “I probably should have exercised a bit more selfishness in that situation. We had our differences regarding the rumours, and in the end, we just both decided to go our separate ways.”
They met through Instagram, but their relationship ended due to trust issues, disrespect, and poor communication. Sammy said they both decided to go their separate ways because of these problems. Sammy’s new song, “Toxic Love,” was inspired by their relationship struggles, including arguments, rumours, and infidelity.
Sammy said,
“No, I do not. If it was ever ‘checking up,’ it was about our termination of the domestic partnership. We no longer have any contact with each other. He is an amazing individual, though; I can’t have hate for someone I once had love for. I am now at my best mentally and physically.”
She shared that moving on was the best choice for her well-being. Sammy believes their relationship might have survived if they had communicated better. Roc Royal has faced several legal issues. In 2014, he was filmed beating up a drug addict over money he was owed, and he later stole a car from a producer, which led to his arrest.
Sammy no longer talks to Roc Royal but says she has no hard feelings toward him and is now doing well mentally and physically. Roc Royal, born in 1997, was kicked out of Mindless Behavior in 2014 after getting into trouble.
He is also the father of two sons, Royal and Bronx, with his ex-girlfriend, Desiree Twyman.
