Orlando Pirates looking to loan out midfielder AGAIN!

Orlando Pirates are on the verge of finalizing their squad ahead of the transfer deadline day this evening.

It has been a story of balancing acts for Pirates, who have seen several outgoings and incomings during the window.

10 players out the door at Pirates

At beginning of the transfer window, Pirates offloaded six players. Souiabou Marou, Fortune Makaringe, Siyabonga Mpontshane, Kermit Erasmus, Richard Ofori and Thabang Monare. They then added Vincent Pule who played against them and impressed in the colours of SuperSport United. There have since been two more exits, in midfielders Azola Matrose and Siphelo Baloni both joining Chippa United. The latest being announced on Tuesday with playmaker Lesedi Kapinga seeing his deal at the Buccaneers terminated.

Matrose has left Pirates on a permanent deal while Baloni’s move is said to be a loan move. Their departures have taken the number to nine first team players to have left the club during the window. Kapinga’s release then saw it jump to 10.

Now according to Soccer-Laduma a younger member of the first team in Azola Tshobeni could also leave. This in a possible loan deal ahead of transfer deadline tonight.

Tshobeni to be 11?

“There are whispers of interest from teams in both the Premiership and the Motsepe Foundation League, but nothing concrete has emerged yet. The club seems to be seeking a beneEcial loan move for Tshobeni, aiming to End a club that will foster his growth both as a player and as an individual. It’s speculated that this move needs to happen this week, or he might have to wait until January, which could be less than ideal for his development. However, it’s believed that the club management is actively working on this.” Said the source.

Tshobeni has just returned to Pirates from a loan spell at JDR Stars in the first division last season. The source confirms they would love to have him back!

“Yes, JDR Stars are still keen on having him (Tshobeni) back on loan, but the club (Pirates) might be considering other options, particularly in the Premiership, to ensure he faces strong competition and returns as a more polished player. Nonetheless, they are said to be open to other clubs in the Motsepe Foundation League, as long as he can secure regular playing time. That seems to be the priority,”. Added the source.

Pirates fans, do you think there is still a future for Tshobeni at Pirates? Or is it time to pull the plug permanently? Feel free to leave your thoughts and feelings in the comments below.
