CHEROKEE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – One person was killed Saturday evening after an argument turned violent at an apartment complex in Gaffney.
According to the Cherokee County Coroner’s Office, at around 10:30 p.m., Kirsten Phillips, 41, of Gaffney, was shot outside the Limestone Courts Apartments on Limestone Street. The coroner’s office said Phillips had been involved in an argument before he was shot.
Phillips was taken by ambulance to Cherokee Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. An autopsy has been scheduled, and the shooting remains under investigation.
