Man killed in Venice, suspect at large

A man was killed in Venice early Friday morning and police are on the search for a suspect.

According to Officer Cervantes with the Los Angeles Police Department media relations unit, the incident was reported at 12:55 a.m. in the 2400 block of Lincoln Boulevard.

Police found a man suffering from injuries to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was identified only as a Black man between the ages of 30 and 40. His name was yet to be released as of Friday morning.

His exact cause of death was unknown, but police are investigating it as a homicide.
