ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A suspect is now in custody after a search warrant uncovered handmade explosive devices along Highway 29 North.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office charged Anthony Kyle Jenkins with possession of a destructive device after an hours-long search in Williamston.
Deputies said the Bomb Squad learned that Jenkins was using everyday household items and mixing them to create small explosions.
When deputies executed a search at the suspect’s home located in the woods, they said Jenkins ran and a search ensued.
Jenkins was later located and taken into custody.
More charges are possible following the investigation according to deputies.
