Lenoir-Rhyne University’s Vice President for Athletics Kim Pate has resigned from her position, effective today (September 17). Ms. Pate was hired in March 2016 to replace longtime athletic director Neill McGeachy.
During Pate’s time at Lenoir-Rhyne, L-R improved its facilities and programs and has ranked as high as 12th nationally in Learfield’s NCAA Division II rankings. In 2023, Ms. Pate was named the Cushman & Wakefield NCAA Division II Athletic Director of the Year by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics.
A national search will begin immediately to find her replacement.
