DO you dream of attending fancy events with the royal family at Buckingham Palace?
Well now you could go a step further and be part of the team who organise engagements for King Charles and Queen Camilla.

The Royal Household is currently looking to hire a Royal Engagements Officer to assist with the monarch’s programme of engagements, both domestic and overseas.
Not only that, but you’ll help with speeches, correspondence and their work with patronages.
The job description reads: “As part of the Royal Engagements team, you will be responsible for planning and delivering world-leading engagements by His Majesty the King and joint engagements by The King and Queen.”
The ideal candidate will have “previous event management experience” and have a “track record of managing high-profile events or programme management.”
You’ll also get a front row in the history books as you’ll be able to attend events with King Charles and Queen Camilla.
And if their engagements are abroad, it follows that you may get to travel for work too.
The hired person will “provide on-site support during engagements, managing logistics in real-time and acting as the central point of contact for all involved parties.”
Of course, you’ll need to be highly organised as your role will be to “lead the end-to-end logistical planning of engagements”, and involve liaising with the Communications, Security, Travel teams.
There are a number of perks that come with the job, alongside the £40,000 salary.
The job comes with 25 days annual leave, rising to 30 days (plus bank holidays).
The website adds: “We also offer a range of leave options to support your life priorities, such as parental pay and leave and volunteering days, as well as benefits to support your physical and mental wellbeing.”
You’ll have to be quick if you want to apply for the role as the closing date is September 29.

Upcoming royal tour
This comes as the King and Queen will visit Australia and Samoa but miss out New Zealand this October, says Buckingham Palace.
Doctors advised against extending the tour owing to his cancer treatment.
The royal pair will begin with a tour of Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales.
Next they will celebrate the “strong bilateral relationship” with Samoa, and attend the Commonwealth heads of government meeting there.

Buckingham Palace said: “In close consultation with the Australian and New Zealand prime ministers, and with due regard for the pressures of time and logistics, it has therefore been agreed to limit the visit to Samoa and Australia only.
“Their Majesties send their warmest thanks and good wishes to all parties for their continued support and understanding.”
Further details of the visit to both countries are to be announced soon.
Charles, 75, returned to public-facing duties earlier this year while still receiving treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer.
Earlier this year, the King revealed the “shock” he felt over his diagnosis.
