Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are currently not on ground at Okaegben ward one, polling unit 3, Ewohimi Local Government Area of Edo State, where , Asue Ighodalo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the ongoing governorship election, is expected to vote.
This is as a result of the downpour in the area on Saturday morning.
According to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), as of 9:26am, voters gathered in clusters waiting for the arrival of INEC officials and materials at the polling unit.
But as of 10:30am when Daily Trust correspondent arrived at the polling unit, the officials had started arriving.
The PDP candidate arrived there shortly.
