I revived my hair from brittle to soft with sticky 60p mask – people worry it stinks but I don’t use it too often

A HEALTH coach has showcased how she transformed her “dry and damaged” hair using a sticky kitchen concoction.

Audrey Dunn is a proud “natural blondie” but found herself suffering with brittle strands before whipping up a storm in her kitchen.

She devised a “sticky” hair mask made entirely of food

Among the ingredients were an egg, coconut oil, olive oil and honey, which gives it the sticky consistency.

“Mix it real good,” she instructed in a now-viral TikTok tutorial

“Then apply to dry hair from roots to ends.

“Put it up and leave it in for as long as you’d like.”

To wash it out, Audrey advised shampooing twice and conditioning once.

She penned in the comments that she applies the mask as and when her strands feel like they need some pampering.

Eggs are rich in proteins, which help strengthen hair strands and repair damage.

The yolks contain healthy fats that moisturise the hair, while the whites help control oil production on the scalp.

Audrey uses coconut oil as a carrier to hold everything together and coat her hair.

This oil is known for penetrating the hair shaft deeply, making it an excellent natural conditioner.

It helps prevent protein loss, especially in damaged hair, allowing the eggs to work their magic.

What’s more, coconut oil improves scalp health, which can stimulate hair growth by nourishing the hair follicles.

Olive oil, on the other hand, is rich in vitamins A and E.

A hairstylist has revealed the best way to get rid of flyaways in seconds for picture-perfect hair.

Sick of you hair falling flat? One woman shared the easy trick to add extra volume without backcombing your roots.

Plus, one hairstylist shared how to keep your hair straight and frizz-free without using any heat.

For blondies among us, it turns out you’ve been applying purple shampoo all wrong and the right way will stop it from going patchy.

These help protect the keratin in your hair, improving its strength and shine.

Olive oil also helps seal moisture into the hair, preventing it from becoming dry and brittle.

Honey works in the kitchen-made mask as it is a humectant, meaning it draws moisture from the air into the hair and locks in hydration.

“The honey helps form a stickier consistency and strengthens the hair,” Audrey explained.

“It contains a protein that promotes hair growth and heals breakage, so I don’t think syrup would work the same.”

When asked if the hair mask leaves her “stinky”, she assured that it doesn’t… despite its high egg content.
