I managed to snatch my jawline without filler using a three-step routine – and it’s Kardashian-approved

A 37-YEAR-OLD has shared how she gives herself a Kardashian-esque snatched jawline without filler or facials.

In fact, Hillary Muscatello is proud to have a no-frills beauty routine that is just as effective as pricey treatments and potions.

“You can get your jawline back naturally with just a little effort,” she says.

After spending lots of her summer travelling, Hillary found that she had been “slacking” with her skincare.

So she sharpened her jawline how she knows best – with a three-step routine.

Firstly, Hillary dunks her face in ice water three times.

Then, uses a gua sha to reduce puffiness and swelling around her jawline.

Finally, she has a mug of Kardashian-approved “detox” green tea.

Dunking your face in ice water – also known as cold water immersion or an ice water facial’ – can help to reduce puffiness and inflammation in several ways.

Namely, it causes blood vessels to constrict which in turn reduces blood flow to the area, which reduces swelling and puffiness as a result.

When you remove your face from the cold water, the blood vessels dilate again, duly improving circulation and giving your face a healthy glow.

Furthermore, the cold temperature can help to reduce inflammation by numbing the skin and underlying tissues.

Gua shas are a great tool for manually draining lymphatic fluid from the face, as this accumulates in the tissues and contributes to swelling.

The “detox” tea addition simply helps nourish the skin from the inside out.

Hillary, who describes her beauty routine as budget- and user-friendly, says the cuppa is Kardashian-approved.

You can also add a face mask onto the end of the routine to give your skin even more of a glow.

Hillary is Missouri, US-based content creator who runs lifestyle store, Tello & Rose.

She has been foundation-free for two years thanks to her natural skincare routines, according to Newsweek.

What’s the science behind green tea aiding flawless skin?

Fabulous Senior Digital Writer, Josie O’Brien, spoke to Dr Sach Mohan about the science behind green tea’s skincare benefits…

“Regularly drinking green tea provides many overall health benefits, much more so than drinking black tea,” says the celebrity cosmetic doctor and founder of Harley Street-based Revere Clinics.

“Green tea has strong antioxidant-like properties – and recently published scientific studies show favourable results in protecting cells from ageing.

“It also has antioxidant properties that can help counter and reduce free radical damage (from environmental pollutants, sun exposure and smoking) and oxidative stress that contribute to skin ageing.

“One of its catechins (epigallocatechin-3-gallate, A.K.A EGCG), also has anti-inflammatory properties that reduce redness and irritation, making it useful for acne and eczema sufferers.”

Let’s get topical

“The anti-inflammatory benefits of green tea – skin soothing, reducing redness and irritation, and calming sunburn and acne – and its hydrating and anti-ageing effects can similarly be gained by applying it topically to the skin,” Dr Sach adds.

“People have been using homemade remedies by placing the ground-up leaves directly onto their skin for centuries.”
