GAFFNEY, S.C. (WSPA) – A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder in connection with a shooting which left one dead over the weekend.
According to the Cherokee County Coroner’s Office, at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Kirsten Phillips, 41, was shot and killed outside of Limestone Courts Apartments on Limestone Street.
On Monday, Gaffney Police said officers have arrested a 15-year-old juvenile for the shooting. The teen has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
Police said the teen was taken to Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia where he will await a hearing to determine if he will be tried as an adult.
