On Sunday (September 15) at 12:02 a.m., Mooresville Police Officers responded to a reported pedestrian traffic crash on Rocky River Road.
After arriving on scene, Officers found a 20-year-old female who was struck by a vehicle which left the scene. The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene due to injuries sustained during the crash. The Mooresville Police Department was not releasing the woman’s name as of earlier today (September 16).
The Mooresville Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating the incident. Police were assisted at the scene of the crash by Mooresville Fire & Rescue and Iredell County EMS. If anyone has any information regarding this hit and run, contact Cpl. Sharpe at 704-664-3311.
