The 56-year-old actress, who has played Sharon Mitchell since the soap began in 1985, showed off her striking new hairdo as she walked into the church to film George Knight’s wedding day.

Letitia showed off her sleek pins in the chic black mini dress, alongside her co-star Michelle Collins, who plays Cindy Beale.

The soap legend showed off her blonde blow-dry as she arrived on set. George’s big day was set to be a drama-filled one, as his old flame Cindy called out him for not tying the knot with his fiancée Elaine.

In recent years, Letitia has prioritized her health and well-being and has kicked one of her bad habits.

The total weight loss has not been disclosed. However, in January the actress said she had gone from 10st 4lbs to 8st 3lbs, dropping four dress sizes in just four months.

Letitia admits that she has tried ‘mod diets’ in the past that never worked, but since she stopped eating junk food, she is starting to feel better.

Speaking to Closer, the soap star said: ‘It was incredible. I found I had so much more energy than when I was eating junk food.’

Letitia has now adjusted her eating habits for the long term and enjoys ‘grilled skinless chicken’ and ‘lots of leafy greens’.

She said: ‘The main reason I wanted to do something about my figure was because I was tired of dieting to extremes and having my weight fluctuate back and forth.

“I woke up one morning and I’d had enough. For years – as long as I can remember – my weight had been yo-yoing up and down. I’d gone on diet fads like Atkins or I’d eat only eggs.”

Letitia reported that she had lost ‘a kilo in a few weeks with yo-yo dieting’, but she admitted that this was unsustainable and she quickly fell back into her old habits.

Now the BBC star has revealed that she follows a balanced diet, consuming 1,300 calories a day, and that she supplements her healthy eating with exercise such as running and boxing.

According to the NHS website, the recommended calorie intake is generally around 2,000 calories per day for women and 2,500 calories per day for men.

This happened after Letitia criticized online scammers who used her profile to sell diet pills.

A source close to Letitia told MailOnline: ‘It is complete nonsense for B+ Weight Management or any other weight loss brand to claim that Letitia gave permission to use her image.

‘This advert and product have absolutely no relevance to Letitia and she urges potential customers to do their research before purchasing any slimming products, especially if they claim to be celebrity endorsed.’

The ads for B+ Weight Management’s diet pills are promoted on Facebook. When interested parties click on a link, they are taken to a fake interview with Letitia, in which she claims that she lost ’50 pounds in two weeks’ thanks to the pills.

It was also claimed that Letitia needed to lose weight or undergo surgery, and it was wildly claimed that her BBC bosses were ‘furious’ about her new body shape.

The scammers even went so far as to fabricate a fake interview Letitia had done with ITV’s Good Morning Britain, despite the fact that the soap star rarely speaks in public.

Her EastEnders co-star Natalie Cassidy, who plays Sonia Fowler, warned fans during an Instagram live that Letitia’s involvement with the company was untrue, denying claims that her own weight loss was due to the pills.
