Donald Trump launched a scathing tirade of insults at Bill Maher and his guests on that evening’s talk show.
The former president, who accused Maher of suffering from “Trump insanity syndrome,” called the 68-year-old a “confused, disheveled and tired man.”
Trump also took on Maher’s guests on his Friday night program, hosted by MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle and New York Times columnist Bret Stephens.
In a post on his platform Truth Social, he called Ruhle a “bimbo” and said she was “dumb as a rock,” while calling Stevens a “Trump hating loser.”
Trump said Stephens should find another job and claimed The Times was a “badly run” outlet run by “degenerate editors.”

His latest tirade on Truth Social came after Ruhle criticized him on her own social media earlier this month for his anti-immigration rhetoric.
Maher and Stephens both analyzed Trump’s recent claim earlier this week that Jewish Americans “had a lot to do with” his potential election loss.
Maher said, “When the autocrat starts blaming the Jews, that’s a good sign. Because when has that ever gone wrong?”
Stephens said the former president was “anti-Semitic in outlook” and said: “Democracy is in danger when anti-Semitism rears its ugly head.”
Maher also told his audience Friday night not to laugh when he brought up the second assassination attempt on Trump.

‘There can’t be any fuzz about this. This isn’t funny! Okay? So. Okay. So, look, it’s not okay to wish for it to happen.’
His attack on Maher and his guests comes just a week after the comedian criticized Trump’s conservative provocateur Laura Loomer as his “bulls***” whisperer.
The comedian also predicted that Trump’s debate performance is a sign that “it’s over for him” in the election and said the two had an “arranged relationship.”

Loomer, who calls himself a “proud Islamophobe,” posted a message on X saying that if Vice President Kamala Harris won the election, “the White House would smell like curry.”
The racist post caused a rift among Trump’s supporters, with Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene even lashing out at Loomer.
Maher said on his HBO show “Real Time” that Loomer “is for MAGA World, for people who think Marjorie Taylor Greene is too intellectual.”
Trump has said Loomer plays no role in his campaign and that he disagrees with some of her recent statements, but that he is grateful for her support.
Loomer later came out to Maher and said she should sue him for defamation, calling his comments “outrageous.”
