Lamine Yamal applauded off by opposition fans as he leads Barcelona to crushing 4-1 win over Champions League rivals
LAMINE YAMAL continues to impress at such a young age, so much so that opposition fans are clapping him off the pitch.
The 17-year-old received a round of applause from Girona fans today as he trudged off the pitch having netted twice to sink Barcelona‘s Catalonia rivals 4-1.

The teenager, who shone for Euro 2024 winners Spain in the summer, netted his first by stealing the ball away from a Girona defender and cooly dispatching an effort past keeper Paulo Gazzaniga.
While his second has a delightful curled effort from just inside the area which nestled into the bottom corner.
Summer signing Dani Olmo and fellow La Masia product Pedri added the other two goals as Barcelona went on to win 4-1.
But all the attention was on Yamal’s spectacular performance with the youngster being showered with love from both sets of fans as he was substituted for Gerard Martin in the 92nd minute.
His goals today take his tally in La Liga this season to an astonishing three goals and four assists in just five league games.
In fact, the talented winger hasn’t gone a single league game this season without registering a goal contribution.
And today’s efforts were no breeze either with Girona a Champions League side who will take on the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, AC Milan and PSG in the new league phase of the competition.

While his efforts in the Euros saw him become the youngest player to ever score in the Euros – doing so at just 16 YEARS OLD.
Fans are convinced he’s the real deal too with many gushing about him after his performance against Girona.
One wrote: “Erling Haaland and Lamine Yamal are the best players in the world right now.”
While another added: “Generational talent. What a player. What a performance.”

Aldi shoppers go wild for middle-aisle find scanning at tills for just 99p – it’s perfect to put away for next summer
ALDI shoppers are going wild for a middle-aisle find that’s scanning at tills for as little as 99p.
Three days ago a bargain hunter shared their news with the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group.
Aldi claims: “This kid’s animal camping chair is the perfect seat for your next camping trip”.
With a snapshot of the Kids Camping Chair, the bargain hunter posted: “To the person who posted about the camping chairs at £3 in Aldi…
“At my store, they were still £4.99 so I left it…today I got a bargain 99p there down to I got 2 !!”
However, this Kids Camping Chair is like no other, it’s fox themed.
Like a fox, the chair is orange in colour, but the backrest is shaped like a large fox face with small ears poking out of the sides.
With proof of purchase, the receipt clearly shows the buyer has paid 99p for this item.
This news has sent shoppers going wild, with one shopper commenting: “Where is this please.”
Another said: “I got the kids one today as well 99p.”
“Grab me one if you go in please”, said a third person.
Even an Aldi staff member shared a tip with the Facebook group: “I work in Aldi and all summer lines have been reduced to a minimum today.
“Some stores may still have plenty. Kids water shoes 50p, uv top £1, paddling pools 1,99 etc.”
Of course, it’s always important to check before making the trip that your Aldi branch has these fabulous items in stock.
As typically, when these items are gone, they’re gone.
You can find your nearest Aldi store by using the retailer’s store locator tool on its website.
Similarly, it’s always good to shop around to ensure you are getting the best price, but don’t worry, we’ve done some of that for you.
According to the Mountain Warehouse’s website, it sells Mini Kids Animal Camping chairs for £19.99.
Head over to Regatta’s website, you’ll find its Kid’s Animal Camping chairs being sold for £9.95.
Alternatively, you could skip the animal theme and buy a Kids Star Camping chair from Argos for £12.
Ultimately, a deal is only a deal if you were going to buy it in the first place and don’t buy a product just because it is discounted.
You can also use websites like Trolley and Price Spy which compare prices on thousands of items across online retailers.
Or, the Google Shopping/Product tab lets you scan the internet to see how many different online retailers are selling a particular item.
What's coming up in the next Aldi Specialbuys event?
On Thursday 19 September, the theme changes to Kitchen, Home, Bedroom and Laundry.

But the Toon came roaring back late on.
Schar’s strike from distance got the Magpies level on 75 minutes.
And five minutes later, Barnes struck gold by arrowing beyond Sam Johnstone.
Wolves nearly grabbed an injury-time equaliser but Matheus Cunha’s volley was turned away by a flying Nick Pope – in between two half-hearted penalty appeals for the home side.
