Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk on course for awkward reunion before Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois as rematch nears

TYSON FURY and Oleksandr Usyk are on course for a tense reunion this week – just three months before their eagerly-anticipated rematch.

The duo, 36 and 37 respectively, will renew their rivalry in a second successive Saudi showdown on December 21.

The pair are on course for a pre-rematch reunion before Anthony Joshua’s showdown with Daniel Dubois at Wembley on Saturday

The fan favourites haven’t crossed paths since Usyk emerged victorious from their historic undisputed heavyweight title fight in May.

But they could be set for a premature reunion just hours before Daniel Dubois‘ showdown with Anthony Joshua at Wembley on Saturday night.

The rivals are both slated to appear at a fan event at Boxpark Wembley several hours before Dubois and AJ vie for the iBF heavyweight title at the home of English football.

Both men will take part in meet and greets with fans at what has been billed as the “official pre-fight party.”

Fury’s dreams of becoming the first undisputed king of the heavyweights since fellow Brit Lennox Lewis were shattered thanks to a split decision defeat.

The Gypsy King was nearly knocked out in the ninth round of the classic but somehow managed to hear the final bell.

Defeat to the slick southpaw – who became a two-weight undisputed king in the Riyadh rumble – was the first of Fury’s title-laden professional career.

And the loss has lit a fire under the Wythenshawe warrior, who roared in a June social media video: “[I’m] counting down the days until I can get my redemption on Usyk.

“December 21 is going to be my time. I’ve done everything in boxing, but I ain’t come back from a loss.

“And I relish it, the chance to redeem myself GET UP. “December 21 is all me – undisputed heavyweight here I come.”

Fury blamed his first-ever loss on having TOO MUCH FUN in the fight, saying: “I thought I boxed his head right off him for most of the rounds.

“He landed a good punch in round eight, that busted my nose. In round nine, he had a 10-8 round, and I gave him round ten.

“Other than that I didn’t give him any other rounds, I gave him rounds eight, nine and ten.

“But round nine is classed as two, so I gave him four rounds of the fight. It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be, a lot easier.

“People were saying he is a hard man to hit but I was lighting him up with three-and-four-punch combinations and laughing at him.

“My problem in that fight was that it was probably too easy.

“At times it was too easy, it was like I was in there with a local amateur boxer and I was enjoying it too much and messing around.

“And for that, I paid the ultimate price in round nine when I had too much fun and got clipped.

“I was always told, ‘Never mix your work with having fun.’

“And I always gave my middle finger up to that – but now it has come back to bite me.

“I still enjoyed it, thought, it was all good.”

She won nicely over this course and distance last time and a 3lb rise in the weights looks fair.

Anthony Joshua reveals he swears by 12-word motto in brutal dig at Daniel Dubois before Wembley Stadium showdown

ANTHONY JOSHUA warned he will not tolerate “nonsense” from Daniel Dubois – or anyone else.

AJ challenges for Dubois’ IBF heavyweight world title on Saturday in what is expected to be a 96,000 record sellout at Wembley Stadium.

But things got heated in the pre-fight sit down two months prior to the all-English title bout.

Joshua threatened to wrap a chair around Dubois’ face after being challenged to a scrap.

But AJ talked down the British beef and told talkSPORT how he lives by a 12-word motto: “I’ll tell anyone at home, don’t let anyone take an inch because that then becomes a mile.

“What that does is have a ripple effect and then other people start feeling that. ‘Oh, I can push his buttons as well.’

“You’ve gotta sometimes draw a line under certain things, put a full stop behind it and that way it eradicates anyone else thinking they can do it.

“I’m in a very competitive industry and you have to make your mark known that you’re not here to play games and that’s all it is.

“I’m just not someone to tolerate nonsense and I’d advise anyone else to have that same attitude.”

Dubois, 27, had just finished an exhausting flight from Brazil to London when he went face to face with Joshua, 34.

And he pushed AJ’s buttons after saying: “If you want to go now, let’s go.”

Joshua then hit back: “I’ll throw this f***ing chair across your face. Don’t disrespect me. Don’t disrespect me. Daniel, don’t disrespect me.”

Dubois refused to back down and said: “You can’t intimidate me. Who do you think you are?”

At that point, AJ stands up and warned: “Daniel, don’t disrespect me because I’ll put this chair around your f***ing face.”

Security had to intervene and prevent the 17st+ giants from breaking out into an early round one.

Joshua and Dubois again came nose to nose in the capital – this time without any scares – to kick off fight week.

Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ what really happened to Nate Robinson before his sudden disappearance

EMMERDALE fans think they have twigged onto the reason for Nate Robinson’s disappearance on the soap.

Viewers were left worried that the long running character had died in an explosive fire at the Dingle’s barn after Nate went missing around the same time it went up in flames.

But fans now suspect someone else is responsible for him going missing[/caption]

However, after spotting on screen clues, some now think he is still alive – but suspect someone close to him is responsible for his disappearance.

Nate was recently involved in some drama in the Dales as Moira went in for a kiss with him.

Cain Dingle was furious to hear about the incident and went after Nate, assuming the pair were having an affair.

Rather than listening to his son’s explanations he got violent, and in the aftermath a badly beaten Nate decided to leave his life in Emmerdale behind and take a new job in the Shetlands.

Since then he hasn’t been heard or seen from.

Cain later discovered that Moira has been suffering from a brain tumour, causing her to act out.

He was filled with remorse after realising he unfairly attacked Nate and left him a repentant voicemail.

But he has received no response from the man.

Nate’s estranged wife Tracey also attempted to contact him, only to receive a strange text in response asking for her not to reach out to him.

Viewers noted this was strange because he has a daughter with Tracey and would not decline to pick up her calls in case it was something to do with their girl.

Some fans are suspicious that newcomer John Sugden might be responsible for Nate’s disappearance.

After thinking back to the moment when he decided to leave the village, they realised the last person he spoke to was John.

John was then spotted looking shifty beside his van after encouraging Nate to leave for the Shetland islands – making viewers think he may have killed or kidnapped him.

An Emmerdale fan shared their theory in an online forum, saying: “If that was his exit then how very odd low key!!

“However John was the only one to see him before the fire and then acted oddly stood at his van.

“Are we to see an upcoming storyline of John the killer and he’s texting Tracey from Nate’s phone?”

Another added to the speculation, pointing out: “We don’t know who John really is. Maybe Nate found out something about him?

“If the writers were just going to have Nate leave without speaking to any of his family, then there was no point to his last scene.

“His last scene was him FUMING (understandably) about the way he’d been treated. His own father had battered him for something he didn’t do.

“He was determined to get Moira to say what really happened. It’s too much to expect people to believe that he went from that to doing a complete U-turn (off screen) as if he thought ‘oh well never mind, I’ll just leave instead’.

“And if someone (probably John) has killed him then they’ve obviously got his phone and sent that text to Tracy to stop her from getting suspicious.”

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr brutally sack manager just THREE games into new season with replacement already lined up

CRISTIANO RONALDO’S side Al-Nassr have sacked manager Luis Castro.

The Portuguese boss has been given his marching orders just three games into the new season, having one won and drawn two.

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored two goals this season with Al-Nassr in seventh

Al-Nassr currently sit seventh after three games, and are yet to lose this season.

A statement said: “Al-Nassr can announce that Head Coach Luis Castro has left the club.

“Everyone at Al-Nassr would like to thank Luis and his staff for their dedicated work during the past 14 months, wishing them the best of luck for the future.”

Castro, 63, has been in charge of the Saudi Arabian side since last summer when he replaced former Napoli manager Rudi Garcia.

Castro guided Al-Nassr to second place in the Saudi Pro League last term, finishing 14 points behind Neymar’s Al-Hilal.

This is despite club talisman Ronaldo scoring 35 goals during the season to be the league’s top scorer.

The hope was that Castro could close in on the Saudi title this term, but the club have made a poor start to the campaign.

Al-Nassr were beaten 4-1 in the Saudi Super Cup final in pre-season, and were held to two 1-1 draws with mid-table teams this term.

Reports suggest that the Saudi club are on the verge of hiring former AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli.

The 58-year-old parted ways with the Rossoneri after five years in May.

He guided AC Milan to the Serie A title in 2022 and earned his first major trophy.

When Ronaldo made the switch to Al Nassr in December 2022, Garcia was the manager.

The Frenchman was sacked after a feisty confrontation with players in April 2023, as Ronaldo expressed his dissatisfaction with his tactics.

Meanwhile, it was revealed that Ronaldo eats a different meal to every other Al-Nassr player and keeps his team-mates diets in check too.

Former Manchester United star Alex Telles told how Ronaldo “gets his own meal. The food is different, the nutritionist arrives with the plate already served.”

The 39-year-old has won one trophy with Al-Nassr.

It came after the five-time Ballon d’Or winner bagged a brace in the final of the Arab Club Champions Cup final against Al-Hilal in 2023.
