MAFS UK fans slam ‘evil producers’ as they claim they ‘set up awkward wedding moment’ with bride’s sister

MARRIED At First Sight viewers have blasted the show’s producers for ‘setting up’ a drastically awkward scene between one groom and the bride’s sister.

Fans of the E4 reality series were left cringing at the programme when one groom made an epic error on the show.

Her twin Paige was caught in the middle of it all[/caption]

24-year-old Nathan was left looking a little embarrassed when he wrongly identified his bride at the altar.

In an incredibly cringe-worthy mishap, Nathan believed that his bride Lacey’s twin sister Paige was the one he was actually marrying.

Having stood with his back to the altar, the groom turned around and was left gushing over stunning Paige as she strutted down the aisle in a hot pink dress.

When she glided up the aisle in a plunging pink dress Nathan turned around, and let out a huge gasp and a “wow”, believing that Paige was his bride.

As she took her seat in the venue, Nathan quickly realised that it was not Paige that he was due to marry.

But fans have hit out at show-makers and claim that the scene was clearly pre-planned given that Paige strutted into the venue when everyone else was already sat down.

Usually, the groom turns around to view his bride when everyone else is already in position but as Paige entered seemingly late, he turned around to glance at her instead.

Writing online about the scene, one viewer said: “Love a bit of over-produced drama for the sake of it.”

Another added: “Why did they do that to him?”

A third fumed: “Complete set up having the sister walk in when everyone else is already seated.”

Before a fourth went on to say: “Evil production blatantly sent the sister down the aisle early to fool him.”

As a firth went on to write: “It’s a bit like bullseye with the sister…’here’s what you could have won’.”

The 24-year-old was paired with Lacey, 27, on the marriage experiment show and they had a memorable day, but for all the wrong reasons.

It led fans to claim that their pairing and subsequent wedding was a “disaster” as more embarrassing moments continued to flood the show.

When Lacey eventually made it down the aisle, he looked disappointed, and could only muster up the compliment “you look nice“.

Rubbing salt into the wound, he then forgot Lacey’s name while saying their vows.

A tearful Lacey told the cameras that she wanted to feel “good enough”.

Married at First Sight UK 2024

Here's who you can expect in the Mafs 2024 cast:

At the reception, Lacey’s mum cornered Nathan, and said: “We have to address the elephant in the room. Nathan, what bride wears hot pink?”

Lacey also pulled him to one side at the end of the night to check that he hadn’t fancied her sister more.

He told her that he “froze” and added: “It wobbled me, it threw me a little bit.

“Maybe I’ve got a little bit of a barrier up. I’ve had one long term partner, she left and I went into a downward place.”

She replied: “That’s good to know, if you’ve got my back I’ve always got yours.”

Major supermarket is selling tubs of Quality Street and Celebrations for just £2.99 – but you need to be quick

But there are several conditions for taking advantage of the bargain.

The code – ‘Wowsers’ – must be entered at checkout, and only one code can be used for customer.

The deal is an online exclusive, and only available today.

An advert for the deal was posted in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.

Tina Louise, who uploaded it, said: “If anyone is doing an Iceland shop today you can get a tub of Quality Street or Celebrations for £2.99 with your order.

“Just enter WOWSERS at checkout.

“One per customer.”

Delivery is also an extra cost.

A 600g tub of Quality Street is currently listed for £6.00 at Tesco online, with a price of £4.50 for Clubcard members.

Asda lists the item for £5.00, while Morrisons offers it for £6.00.

Sainsbury’s also offers it for £6.00 – or £4.95 with a Nectar membership.

How to save at Iceland

ICeland is known for offering good value when it comes to the weekly shop, but is everything worth your money?

Earlier this year The Sun revealed the items you should stop buying in Iceland if you want to shave some cash off your shopping bill.

Iceland is known for specialising in frozen food but it has much more to offer than just its freezer section.

Customers can pick up cheap deals on branded food and staples such as milk, eggs, bread and fresh veg.

If you’re not sure where your nearest Iceland is, you can find out by using the store locator tool on its website.

You can also shop online with Iceland on The Food Warehouse website, where it also has all its latest deals and multi-buy offers listed.

Delivery is free if you spend a minimum of £40 online, and if you want home delivery from the store it is a minimum of £25.

All you need to do is book a delivery time that suits you and wait for your groceries to arrive.

Most of the time the popular retailer is very competitive on price, but there are some items that you might be better off buying elsewhere.

How to save money on your supermarket shop

THERE are plenty of ways to save on your grocery shop.

You can look out for yellow or red stickers on products, which show when they’ve been reduced.

If the food is fresh, you’ll have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.

Making a list should also save you money, as you’ll be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.

Going own brand can be one easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills too.

This means ditching “finest” or “luxury” products and instead going for “own” or value” type of lines.

Plenty of supermarkets run wonky veg and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they’re misshapen or imperfect.

For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering boxes of 5kg of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.

If you’re on a low income and a parent, you may be able to get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.

Plus, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.

Heartbreaking ‘delusion’ Ashley Cain used to get through death-defying challenges on new show Into The Danger Zone

ASHLEY Cain has endured the unimaginable heartbreak of losing his daughter – but he continues to push his limits in ways that few could ever understand.

The former footballer’s daughter Azaylia died when she was just eight months old from a rare form of leukaemia.

Ashley has just completed an Ultraman test[/caption]

He has raised hundreds of thousands in her name since, previously climbing Kilimanjaro and recently completing an Ultraman test, which involves a 900-mile run, a 925-mile cycle and a 950-mile kayak sea crossing.

Now he’s set to investigate some of the world’s most dangerous places in a new show that will air early next year.

Speaking to The Sun about BBC series, Into The Danger Zone, he opened up on how he keeps going.

“I had this delusion that after a challenge, she would be there,” he told us.

“Every challenge I do, I push through hoping I will see (Azaylia) at the end, and I never do”.

Ashley said each trial has become a way for him to process his grief, in an attempt to reconnect with the daughter he lost far too soon.

For Ashley, fighting through pain is more than just survival.

He added: “Me doing the challenges and fighting through pain is the only way I know how to show her that I love her …

“I don’t do these things because I love the risk. I do it because nothing means more to me in this world than making a difference for kids with cancer.”

He added that since losing Azaylia he “doesn’t really have a fear of death” because, “I just think if it is my time and I die I get to see her.”

Ashley believes that his daughter is watching from the sky, looking down from heaven as he puts himself through these intense experiences.

He went on: “I do this to raise awareness and funds, but also so she can look down and see the lengths I will go for her.”

Even though his daughter is gone, he said her presence still guides him.

“I have a lot of pain, anger, and trauma,” Ashley added.

“Doing these challenges is my form of counselling. It’s my own way to process everything and to give myself self-worth and confidence.

“She taught me strength, she taught me courage, and she taught me that even in your darkest days, you can create someone else’s brightest moments, and that will always stay with me.”

Ashley is planning to become a record breaker in one of his most daring stunts to date.

Asked if he wants to follow in the footsteps of Ross Kemp, who has ventured into dangerous places on his show Extreme Worlds, Ashley said: “It would seem like that.

“It’s the same kind of thing. I go to Brazil, Philippines, South Africa, Columbia, Sweden, Marseille.

“We have filmed Sweden but are filming the rest mid December.”
