I live in a caravan & it’s so tiny I can’t even stand up in my bedroom – but my bed would swallow up the living room

TINY homes may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but one woman has truly made her small space work for her – even if it means she can’t stand up straight.

Bresha Jeanae lives in a cosy home where she often has to crawl or bend over to reach her bed.

While not all areas of her home have low ceilings, her bedroom stands at just three feet six inches high, making movement quite challenging.

Due to the low ceiling in her bedroom, there’s no space for a full bed frame or the usual bedroom furniture.

But Bresha, who is from Houston, Texas, has still managed to make her space cosy and inviting with a few charming touches, like snug bedding and cute bedside tables.

And while raising the roof is technically possible, it’s just not on the cards for Bresha right now.

She also has managed to squeeze in a kitchen downstairs, bathroom and dressing room

Taking to her TikTok page @breshajeanae, she shared a video which gave an “honest” tour of her home.

Talking in the video, she reveals that she wants to show her followers what her room looks with a 0.5 lens – which managed to fit the entire room in one shot – and without it.

She says: “I live in a tiny home.

“I just realised that I’ve never shown the tiny house without using the 0.5 lens.”

Bresha continues: “Okay, so here is the living room with the 0.5 lens and without it.

“Wow, that’s such a drastic difference.”

She then shows the staircase, kitchen, bathroom, backroom and loft area that leads to the loft with the 0.5 lens and without it.

Talking to her viewers, she says: “Now, I hope you understand why I refuse to put my bed down here.

“My bed is queen-size, and it would literally swallow this whole room.

I could but idk [I don’t know] I like the loft

“I would barely have anywhere to walk.

“Hopefully, this helps you guys realistically see how big the tiny house actually is. It’s 399 square feet.

“I feel like the 0.5 lens videos have made it look way bigger than it actually is.”

Many people rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts.

One wrote: “If you did say move into that room, that is your makeup room, what if you got a bed mounted to the wall that lifted up when you didn’t need it?”

But Bresha replied with: “I could but idk [I don’t know] I like the loft.”

Another complimented her abode by writing: “Love it so much.”

Whilst someone else said: “Thank you for sharing your tiny home journey.”

Despite the size of her house, a fourth wrote: “It’s still gorgeous!”

And another fan reassured her by adding: “Your home works. Don’t worry about [it].”

Why I could never live in a tiny home

Tiny homes are getting increasingly popular in the UK, especially in the cost of living crisis when first-time buyers are struggling to get on the property ladder or current homeowners are having to pay ridiculous interest rates on mortgages.

But Rebecca Miller, Fabulous’ Associate Editor, has shared why living in a tiny home would be her idea of a nightmare.

“I’m currently in the process of selling my flat and buying a house, and as I pack up all my belongings, I’m worried where it is all going to go – there is so much stuff!

Fortunately, I’m very privileged to be buying a house with more square feet than my current flat.

But it got me wondering, could I ever live in a small space? And the answer is no.

  1. Less personal space

Living with another person immediately cuts down on personal space, but remove several rooms, and I’d be left with only the bathroom as my sanctuary. I’m not sure I’d be able to cope!

  1. Less storage space

I’m like a magpie, I like collecting pretty things, and I like my belongings to be organised. With limited storage space, I’d find it really hard to keep everything neat and tidy.

  1. Can’t play host

One of the joys of being an independent adult is being able to host – friends, family, overnight stays, and dinner parties. Where would I gather everyone for a Sunday lunch if my table only sat two? Not to mention, how would I cook a Sunday lunch?

  1. No room to grow

Both as an individual, as part of a couple and also my hobbies, can be restricted by physical space. When I first moved into my flat, I was overjoyed at having my own balcony, and it has been a space where my love for gardening has grown. Five years on, my balcony is now overflowing with plants, and I’ve had to set up a mini propagator in the living room!

The star has pulled both his Twitter and Instagram profiles in the wake of the controversy surrounding him.

Neither of his profiles can be found on the platforms after he was charged with controlling and coercive behaviour against estranged wife Lisa.

It is the first move The Repair Shop star has taken since the charges against him were revealed.

The 54-year-old appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates’ court on Friday morning to face the charges against him.

The Repair Shop, which he has presented for seven years, is made independently by Ricochet and sold to the Beeb.

BBC insider said last night: “Decisions on who does and doesn’t feature in shows made by indies is entirely up to them.

“But it can’t be clearer – the Beeb won’t feature any new shows in which he appears, until it is clear how legal proceedings conclude.”

It comes as The Repair Shop appeared to drop a huge hint that the show would be back for another series despite Jay’s charges.

Bosses have opened casting for the run, inviting members of the public to apply to take part.

On the application, bosses say: “Our award-winning series The Repair Shop is returning to BBC ONE. Our team of Britain’s most passionate and skilled craftspeople will rescue broken objects and restore them to their former glory.

“If you have a damaged heirloom, a prized antique, a loved one’s treasured possession or anything else that needs restoring, apply now by completing and submitting the following application form.”

Blades was arrested on May 3, the same day his wife Lisa Zbozen made public her decision to end their 18-month marriage.

Dad-of-three Blades is accused of physical and emotional abuse towards her between January 1, 2023 and  September 12, 2024.

A spokeswoman for West Mercia Police said: “54-year-old Jason Blades of Claverley in Wolverhampton has been charged with controlling and coercive behaviour.”

He was bailed on the condition that he does not contact Lisa directly or indirectly.

Blades will next appear at Worcester Crown Court on October 11.

The star, of Claverley, Shropshire, was charged under his full name Jason Blades.

The charge sheet claims he “repeatedly or continuously engaged in behaviour which was controlling or coercive, namely physical and emotional abuse”.

Blades was bailed to appear at Worcester Crown Court on October 11.

He and Lisa wed in November 2022 in Barbados, a year after their engagement.

Abdo married former boxer Malik Scott in an intimate ceremony earlier this summer.

She returned to front CBS’ Champions League coverage alongside regular pundits Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher, and Micah Richards.

Moments into the show, the 43-year-old teased she had signed an “exclusive new contract.”

Kate continued: “Yes, with my new husband!”

“Allow me to reintroduce myself. Abdo – it has to go.”

She went on to reveal she was taking on Scott’s last name, prompting an “awkward” joke from Carragher.

The 43-year-old debuted the change during introductions on Wednesday.

The presenter opened the show by saying: “Hello everyone, welcome along to London – I’m Kate Scott.”

Henry, Carragher, and Richards immediately began whooping and cheering, with Kate quipping the show was all about “keeping things fresh.”

One fan wrote on X: “I’m so here for this.”

Another said: “The Kate Scott introduction hits different.”

While a third added: “99 problems but man ain’t one. Congratulations Kate Scott.”

CBS welcomed David Beckham to the show earlier this week as the new Champions League campaign got underway.

Golden Balls proved a huge hit with the panel – and revealed Kate was his pick of the quartet.

Richards asked: “Who’s your favourite on this show?”

Beckham immediately responded: “The United fan,” as he turned to look at Abdo.

Abdo got hitched to Scott in Malibu, California.

They were joined by a small group of family and friends, with Henry, Carragher, or Richards not in attendance.

“Our wedding was intimate – just the two of us, really,” Scott revealed.

“We focused on each other and the commitment we were making.

“It was a godly ceremony on the Malibu hills, just how we wanted it.”
