Emmerdale’s Ruby Fox-Miligan suffers devastating twist – and it’s all husband Caleb’s fault

EMMERDALE’S Ruby Fox-Miligan has become victim to a tragic twist tonight.

The slightly unhinged wife of Caleb – who is played by actress Beth Cordingly in the ITV soap – was called by the hospital tonight to tell her her mum Helen wanted to see her.

Helen sent Caleb the money and then promptly died without seeing her daughter[/caption]

They had been estranged ever since Helen kicked her out as a teenager after she got pregnant with Caleb’s baby.

And while Caleb knew Helen was dying and wanted to reunite with her daughter, he leveraged it for £100k instead – and time ran out.

As Ruby arrived in the hospital the nurse told her: “She was desperate to see you. I’m afraid it’s too late. She passed away 20 minutes ago.”

Shown into the body, Ruby said: “Why did you want to see me? Why? To say sorry? Because if you wanted to, you had plenty of time to do it.

“To come and find me. To beg my forgiveness. But no, instead you have to be a drama queen with all this deathbed stupidness.

“How could you do this to me? One more way to stick the knife in? Did you ever love me mum?”

Caleb was secretly listening in from the corridor, having gone to demand the £100k from Helen that he was asking for her.

He ran away before Ruby left and was waiting back at home.

Pretending he didn’t know Helen was dead or back, he played a blinder and left Ruby spiralling about her mum dying.

“I just wanted to hear her say sorry, now I never will,” she said as he asked what he could do.

“Hold me,” she said, as he continued to keep quiet about what he really knew.

“My mum never really loved me,” she said.

“Not like normal mums. I never heard her say it except to other people – she told them she loved me but never me.

“I swore I’d never let her get to me. She didn’t care about me – she cared more about the dog.”

As Caleb tried to comfort her, Ruby continued: “My mother turned her back on me and I’m no better than her.

“I had one last chance to talk to my mum and now it’s gone. It’s going to drive me mad my whole life. I’ll never know what she wanted to say to me.”

Caleb kept quiet as his phone went off confirming the £100k transfer from the now dead Helen.

But The Nuke suffered a shock 6-3 loss to the Netherlands’ Maik Kuivenhoven[/caption]

But the teen sensation was finally downed by Dutch star Kuivenhoven 6-3 in their last 16 clash in Wigan on Wednesday night.

However, it didn’t seem to bother ‘The Nuke’ as he posted on Instagram: “Enjoyed the last few days for sure.”

Michael van Gerwen, who Littler beat in the World Series semis on Sunday night, went on to win in Wigan, beating Dave Chisnall 8-7 in the final, with an average just shy of 107.

MVG said: “I played really well, the scoring power was there.

“Then this game can be a bit easier.

“I’m pleased with my performance, I’m using my darts and they are going well.

“Everybody is a winner.

“In loads of these, I’ve underperformed. To be back on this tour and to win one, it feels good of course.

“I want to win, I want to perform. I know there’s still a lot more to gain and a lot more to fight for.

Inside Littler's massive rise

LUKE LITTLER has taken the darts world by storm since exploding onto the scene at the PDC World Championship at the beginning of the year.

The Nuke reached the final on his Ally Pally debut at just 16 years of age – smashing records along the way.

He has then gone on to win a host of PDC events and the Premier League title – which he claimed at the O2 Arena by beating world champion Luke Humphries in May.

He also finished his first season in the World Series as the No1 ranked player.

He has joined Jude Bellingham on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list.

And the teenage titan even had to snub an invite from the WWE.

The Sun exclusively revealed that Littler is plotting to create a fitness empire.

He is also cashing in away from the Oche thanks to an Instagram side hustle.

And he’s even the face of a brand new cereal.

But he is newly single after splitting from girlfriend Eloise Milburn following a 10-month relationship.

Check out all of our latest Luke Littler stories.

“I should have won the Matchplay, I gave that one away. That’s part of darts as well. It is what it is.

“For me the most important thing is that I keep believing. It gives you joy, it gives you pleasure.

“There’s still a lot to work for. You need to make sure you are ready.”
