‘Keeps skin super glowy!’ Beauty buffs rave about new Primark face cream that’s £6 dupe for viral £195 ‘magic cream’

BEAUTY buffs are racing to nab a £6 Primark face cream that’s said to be a dupe for a £195 cult buy.

The all-new PS…Pro Hydration Cream has received rave reviews from happy shoppers, with 91% of users saying their skin felt nourished after using it.

Beauty buffs believe that it’s a dupe of a cult luxury face cream[/caption]

It hit stores earlier this week as Primark’s latest addition to its beauty dupes range.

The £6 buy is a dupe for the viral Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream.

However, the luxury buy can set you back as much as £195 for a 150ml tub.

A 50ml tub costs £79 – a far cry from Primark’s bargain price point for the same amount of product.

“Meet your new skincare hero: our PS…Pro Hydration Cream,” Primark bosses said.

“This daily essential is designed to revitalise, replenish and restore your skin, in just one step.

“Priced at only £6, the lightweight formula melts effortlessly into your complexion, adding a dewy glow that can be worn alone or as a canvas underneath make-up.

“The best part?

“It’s enriched with SPF 15, which helps protect the skin against UV rays.

“Bonus points for the premium glass packaging too.”

Primark even conducted a trial of 63 female panellists aged between 20 and 45-years-old with normal to dry skin to test the cream.

Results found that, after four weeks of use, 89% of women said their skin felt moisturised and 86% said their skin felt smoother.

A whopping 82% of women agreed that their skin looked radiant, and the product added a dewy glow under make-up after four weeks of use.

Primark’s social media team took to Instagram to ask shoppers their thoughts on the cream.

One beamed: “I wear mine everyday under make-up as a primer.

“It keeps your skin super glowy.”

Another reviewed: “I use it as a hydrating mask at night time at the end of my skincare routine to lock in moisture.”

Best beauty dupes

Fabulous' Beauty Editor, Tara Ledden revealed the cheaper version of your favourite beauty products that you should have in your cupboard.

“A huge 55% of us would like to spend less on our beauty routines according to new research from E.l.f. Cosmetics, so it’s no wonder there’s millions of #dupe videos on Tiktok.

“While some dupes are easy to spot given their look-a-like packing, they’re often lacking when it comes to the contents.

“In fact, some of the best dupes look nothing like the luxury product they’re a dead-ringer for – and, trust me, they’re the ones you want.”

REAL: Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer, £32.50 DUPE: Natural Collection Bronzer, £3.50 which is a saving of £29. The Natural Collection Bronzer comes in more shades, although it doesn’t have a mirror in the compact.

REAL: Milk Make-up Hydro-Grip Primer, £35 DUPE: E.l.f. Power Grip Primer, £10. These two share a similar green hue, as well as the same long-wearing, mattifying properties – although, E.l.f’s is so popular it’s just as hard to get hold of.

REAL: Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick, £28 DUPE: L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Satin Lipstick Beige A Nu, £8.99. The shades of these two lipsticks are virtually identical on the lips, although while Charlotte Tilbury’s is matte, the L’Oreal Paris Lipstick has a satin finish – which actually makes it more comfortable if you’re wearing all day.

REAL: Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation, £40 DUPE: Collection Lasting Perfection Matte Foundation, £6.99. While they don’t look alike from the outside, the formula, consistency and staying power of both foundations is pretty similar – unfortunately, the Collection only comes in 20 shades vs Estee Lauder’s 60 options.

REAL: Glossier Boy Brow, £20 DUPE: Essence Make Me Brow Gel, £2.50. There’s a whole Reddit thread dedicated to this dupe, so you know it’s got to be good. They both have a waxy consistency and added fibres to make brows look fuller. I have to say, the shade range is far better with Boy Brow, but if you’re brunette, there’s plenty of Essence shade options to try.

I revived my hair from brittle to soft with sticky 60p mask – people worry it stinks but I don’t use it too often

A HEALTH coach has showcased how she transformed her “dry and damaged” hair using a sticky kitchen concoction.

Audrey Dunn is a proud “natural blondie” but found herself suffering with brittle strands before whipping up a storm in her kitchen.

But has shared how she turned that round to be left with soft, silky locks[/caption]

She credits her ‘sticky’ hair mask for the epic turnaround[/caption]

She devised a “sticky” hair mask made entirely of food

Among the ingredients were an egg, coconut oil, olive oil and honey, which gives it the sticky consistency.

“Mix it real good,” she instructed in a now-viral TikTok tutorial

“Then apply to dry hair from roots to ends.

“Put it up and leave it in for as long as you’d like.”

To wash it out, Audrey advised shampooing twice and conditioning once.

She penned in the comments that she applies the mask as and when her strands feel like they need some pampering.

Eggs are rich in proteins, which help strengthen hair strands and repair damage.

The yolks contain healthy fats that moisturise the hair, while the whites help control oil production on the scalp.

Audrey uses coconut oil as a carrier to hold everything together and coat her hair.

This oil is known for penetrating the hair shaft deeply, making it an excellent natural conditioner.

It helps prevent protein loss, especially in damaged hair, allowing the eggs to work their magic.

What’s more, coconut oil improves scalp health, which can stimulate hair growth by nourishing the hair follicles.

Olive oil, on the other hand, is rich in vitamins A and E.

The five best DIY hair hacks

One beauty expert has shared the easy way to refresh your hair in between washes without reaching for the dry shampoo.

A hairstylist has revealed the best way to get rid of flyaways in seconds for picture-perfect hair.

Sick of you hair falling flat? One woman shared the easy trick to add extra volume without backcombing your roots.

Plus, one hairstylist shared how to keep your hair straight and frizz-free without using any heat.

For blondies among us, it turns out you’ve been applying purple shampoo all wrong and the right way will stop it from going patchy.

These help protect the keratin in your hair, improving its strength and shine.

Olive oil also helps seal moisture into the hair, preventing it from becoming dry and brittle.

Honey works in the kitchen-made mask as it is a humectant, meaning it draws moisture from the air into the hair and locks in hydration.

“The honey helps form a stickier consistency and strengthens the hair,” Audrey explained.

“It contains a protein that promotes hair growth and heals breakage, so I don’t think syrup would work the same.”

When asked if the hair mask leaves her “stinky”, she assured that it doesn’t… despite its high egg content.
