Social media users were left begging Sarah Grande for her grandma’s beauty secrets – and Sarah shared that it’s all down to a cheap £7 buy[/caption]

In the short video, which was shared on social media with the caption ‘I cannot believe she’s 90. Happy Birthday Grandma!’, we saw Sarah’s youthful grandmother at her 90th birthday party.

Sarah filmed the stunning woman, who has no wrinkles, as she posed next to her birthday cake.

The young woman explained that her Italian nan was born in 1934, as she confessed: “My grandma defies biology.

“She legitimately turned 90 today.”

Sarah also added: “She has some difficulty walking but she definitely has an active family life! She’s social and we are always with her.”

The senior had her hair neatly styled and wore a stylish blouse with chunky gold jewellery.

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @buona_sarah_, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it was shared just three days ago, but has quickly racked up a whopping 712,700 views.

Social media users were left gobsmacked at the woman’s age and many claimed that she looks no older than 60.

One person said: “I don’t believe it.”

Another added: “If you said she was in her 60s I’d fully believe you.”

A third commented: “Wow! She looks 30 years younger.”

Someone else gushed: “No wrinkles!!”

We need her skincare routine

To this, Sarah replied: “She really has none. And she never had Botox!”

At the same time, many begged: “We need her skincare routine.”

In response, Sarah revealed the cheap beauty buy that her gorgeous grandmother couldn’t live without.

Sarah confessed: “RETINOL, honestly for the last 40+ years.”

Everything you need to know about retinol

What are the new retinol rules?

The EU has passed new legislation which limits the amount of retinol that can be used in off-the-shelf skincare.

Face and hand products can’t contain more than 0.3% retinol, while body products are restricted to just 0.05% (both down from 1%).

Anything stronger will be phased out from the end of this year, with a three-year grace period.

If you’re wondering why this affects us after Brexit, it’s because the UK chooses to follow lots of EU legislation.

Has retinol suddenly been outed as dangerous?

No, the new rules are designed to reduce the well-known risk of overexposure to vitamin A, of which retinol is a derivative.

“Vitamin A is vital for things like immunity, skin health and vision, but too much can lead to toxicity and issues like osteoporosis and liver damage,” says Dr Priya Verma, GP and aesthetic doctor at The Phi Clinic.

“It’s important to note that diet and supplements are by far the major sources of vitamin A, while the amount absorbed by skincare is much lower.

“The new rules are looking at a ‘worst case’ approach: the minority of people already consuming excess Vitamin A who add to their exposure via excessive overuse of topical retinol.

“If you’ve been using a 0.3%-plus retinol from a reputable brand, and following the directions, it’s extremely unlikely to be a cause for concern.”

Will my retinol products be less effective in future?

“Not at all,” says Dr Shotter.

““For many people, 0.3% is a good, effective concentration.” adds Dr Halliley.

“Even lower concentrations can be highly effective. Efficacy is not solely down to a retinol product’s strength, but how it’s formulated, the ingredients it’s paired with, and how it’s absorbed.”

Formulations above 0.3% will still be available on prescription. “

If you need these higher levels for skin conditions like acne, see a professional.

Alternatively, consider ‘dermatology to your door’ services like GetHarley.com and And Begin, which can prescribe appropriate retinoids via online consultation.

The cult product has been a hit with many shoppers, and is rated 4.5 stars by impressed beauty fans.

The lightweight but potent solution also improves skin texture and tone, while reducing visible dark spots.

Three cheap and fun ways to celebrate Batman day for the whole family

TOMORROW is Batman Day – when fans around the world will celebrate the caped crusader.

This year also marks 85 years since the superhero was created, and there are activities to pay homage, including special screenings of Batman films in cinemas.

But you don’t need to splash out to get involved.

Here are free or affordable Batman activities . . .

MEET A HERO: There will be Batman character visits at selected The Entertainer stores every Saturday until October 19.

Follow @entertainer_toys on Instagram for information.

There is also a costume character visit in Hamleys in the Westfield complex at White City, West London this Sunday.

For older fans, Batman Unmasked: The Exhibition is on now at Covent Garden, central London featuring a collection of props and costumes.

General tickets are £24.50 but if you are a group of ten or more you will pay £19.60 each.

FACE PAINTING:  If you are in London this Sunday, there will be Batman face-painting at Hamleys’ Regent Street store.

Otherwise, get a Halloween face-painting kit for £1 at Poundland, and create your own Batman design.

There are lots of free tutorials on YouTube that you can then follow to create picture-perfect face art on your child’s face.

MAKE A MASK: If you have spare black paper, card or even scrap material you can use it to create Batman masks for little ones.

Put the paper against your child’s face and make marks so you know how wide to make the mask — plus markers at the top of the cheekbones and forehead.

Draw the shape of the mask before cutting.

You just need two little pointy ears either side at the top and two almond shapes for the eyes, the bottom curves over the cheeks and nose.

Make small holes either side of the mask before threading round string, ribbon or elastic to fit your child’s head.

Legendary department chain announces exact date it will close doors to ‘huge’ branch forever

A LEGENDARY department chain has revealed the exact date it will close its doors on a “huge” branch for good.

House of Fraser is pulling down the shutters on another shop after closing various sites over the past few months.

Next has been strongly tipped to replace House of Fraser’s unit in the shopping centre[/caption]

The popular clothing retailer recently confirmed it would be shutting its Bluewater branch after 25 years of service.

The department store is operated out of large unit which occupies two floors in the shopping centre.

House of Fraser confirmed that they will be offering shoppers a 20 per cent discount to empty the store, which is set to shut on November 27.

Despite the major loss, another large clothing chain is set to replace the retailer at Bluewater, according to Kent Online.

Next is strongly tipped to take over the unit once House of Fraser closes their store for good.

The popular clothing chain recently announced that it has raised its annual profit outlook for the second time in less than two months.

The Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce warned that the departure of House of Fraser could negatively impact other traders who benefit from the foot traffic generated by such a large store.

Chief Executive Tudor Price said: “Customers may stop returning once they realise the anchor store is no longer there.”

Shoppers are gutted after learning of the popular branch’s pending closure.

Hundreds have taken to Facebook to vent their frustrations.

“No!! No more clothes and bags” cried one user.

Another commented: “I feel sorry for the staff.”

While a third said: “End of an era.”

However, several customers were happy that House of Fraser would no longer have a unit in the shopping centre.

A former employer wrote: “Good worked there for years horrible place.”

And this user added: “No one goes shopping anymore, it’s all online, knock it down and build some very much needed social housing.”

It comes after a major high street games retailer with 240 branches is gearing up to close one of its sites.

And with the cost of living crisis wreaking havoc on Britain’s purses, many of us are shopping exclusively in the sale section.

Watch moment Champions League star pulls off DOUBLE nutmeg before pulling off ‘Thierry Henry pass’ to set up epic goal

VICTOR BONIFACE turned on the style during Bayer Leverkusen’s crushing win over Feyenoord.

The Nigerian star pulled off an outrageous double nutmeg and no-look pass in the build-up to Leverkusen‘s second goal.

The Nigerian then showed off a stunning no-look pass to set up the German’s second goal[/caption]

Boniface stunned fans by executing a playground move made famous by French legend Thierry Henry.

The 23-year-old received the ball to feet 30 yards from the Feyenoord goal with Leverkusen already leading 1-0.

He trapped the pass with his instep before nutmegging both defenders who tried to prevent the break.

Boniface shaped to shoot with his right foot, but instead passed the ball out to the wing with his left in a short, sharp motion.

A signature trick of Henry’s, the audacious move was perfectly executed perfectly by the Nigerian striker.

Jeremie Frimpong received the pass from Boniface before slinging an inch-perfect cross to the far post.

Alejandro Grimaldo was on hand to smash home to complete a stunning goal from the German champions.

One fan gasped on X: “If he did that in training, people would be going mad!”

Another said: “Victor Boniface has just executed the Thierry Henry fake-shot pass to perfection. Outrageous.”

While a third added with a stunned emoji: “Stop it Boniface!!!! The Thierry Henry pass!!”

And a fourth simply gawped: “Boniface can ball.”

Xabi Alonso‘s Leverkusen were in stunning form as they toyed with Feyenoord at De Kuip.

They led 4-0 at half time, with Florian Wirtz bagging a brace and Feyenoord stopper Timon Wellenreuther putting through his own goal.

The Dutch side tightened up in the second period, with Leverkusen happy to see out the game.

New Champions League format

Each club will play eight matches in the opening phase – against seeded opposition, in a system designed to ensure that teams play opponents of similar difficulty.

The top eight teams in the “final” table will automatically go through to the last 16, where they will be joined by the eight play-off winners of ties between the sides placed ninth to 24th in the table.

Despite there being just eight matches in the opening phase, European matches will be spread over 10 midweek slots.

The new Champions League format also sees the implication of two additional qualifying spots.

They will be awarded to the nations that are top of the “country coefficient” chart each season.

Leverkusen will now head back to Germany to play AC Milan in Gameweek 2.

Feyenoord travel next to Spain to take on Girona, the La Liga surprise package playing in their first-ever Champions League campaign.
