So if you want a home that’s beautiful and inviting, rather than ‘basic’ and ‘cheesy’, you’ll need to pay attention[/caption]

Loren Kreiss, an Interior and Furniture Designer from the US, shared his honest thoughts on Mrs Hinch grey and the kitchen cabinet colour he can’t stand.

Not only this, but the CEO and Creative Director of Kreiss, a luxury furniture company, also explained why not using dimmers is a bad idea and why tiny rugs are never a good look.

Posting on social media, Loren said: “Want to know the 12 biggest mistakes people make when decorating their home?

“These rookie errors will dumb down the look of your space.”

After listing the trends he can’t stand, Loren shared his honest thoughts and expert advice with Fabulous.

Painting your ceiling and trim a different colour to your walls

When it comes to the colour of your ceiling, Loren told Fabulous: “It’s old fashioned to paint your ceiling and trim white and there is a misconception it makes your space look larger.

“I recommend painting your walls and ceiling the same colour in different sheens, and if you have trim doing the same.”

Not using dimmers

Loren also shared why you must install dimmers in your home.

He added: “Dimmers are inexpensive to install and help create a vibe in your space.”

Choosing grey flooring, paint, or cabinets

If you bought into the Mrs Hinch grey trend, it’s time to think again.

Loren advised: “Grey is not a natural colour especially for flooring.

“Grey tones are passe and cold. Try a toned natural matte white oak.”

Using white kitchen cabinets

When it comes to the colour of your kitchen cabinets, Loren wasn’t afraid to hold back.

He shared: “White kitchen cabinets are overused and basic.

Kelly Hoppen's Luxury Design Tips on a Budget

INTERIOR design guru Kelly Hoppen knows how to create plush living spaces.

The former Dragons’ Den star has worked with celebs including the Beckhams and has created glam interiors for hotels and superyachts. But she also loves a bargain and says there are ways of adding luxury to your space without breaking the bank.

This is no doubt music to the ears of the one in three homeowners planning to renovate interiors this year.

“Luxury isn’t about how much you spend, it’s about how you feel,” she says.

“It can be very easy and affordable to add a touch of luxury and comfort to your home. It’s all about finding different ways of looking at things.”

Here, Kelly gives Emma Lazenby her brilliant tricks for making your pad more plush.

Place it down

RUGS are a brilliant place to start if you want to quickly change a space. A great way to have fun with them and add texture is to also layer two together.

You might already have rugs that are either too big or too small, but layering can put them to better use. When I was styling Boy George’s house, I placed one rug over another, slightly to the right, and it instantly gave an eclectic feel.

People sometimes panic about rugs, but layering makes it easy to adapt them to your space.

Pad it out

CUSHIONS are fantastic if they are positioned well. It’s common for people to put them across the back of the sofa – left, right and in the middle.

But one of the ways I’ve used cushions in my new home is to put them against the side of each sofa arm instead. It creates a completely different look.

It’s also quite nice as an arm rest when you sit down.

I’ve tried putting a smaller, flatter cushion in a different colour on top of a larger one, which works really well too.

Turn books into art

BOOKSHELVES and bookcases can be arranged in a cool way by taking the books that you don’t really need or want to look at – we all have those – and turning them the other way around so you see the paper and not the spine.

Then you can pile them up at different heights and place accessories on top. It can create a really artistic-looking space.

And if you have ten or so random books that happen to be the same colour, you can turn those to have their spines facing, piling them horizontally and placing them between the paper-facing piles.

Get a wonderwall

IF you are renting your home and cannot paint or wallpaper your walls, or if you do not want to commit to anything permanent, buy a large MDF sheet, wallpaper it and put it up against a wall.

This would not be the whole size of the wall, but you could have it in the centre and push it up against the wall with your chair or sofa to keep it in place.

It then means you have a whole new backdrop with a different texture.

You could move it to another room if you wanted to, or even paint it a different colour as the seasons change.

Mix it up with marble

THERE are some amazing tiles out there right now and you can get cheap marble off-cuts that work really well for creating both kitchen and bathroom splash-backs.

My top tip here is to mix marble with more matte tiles so you can play around more with patterns. Just make sure you stick to the same colour tone.

Make a splash

WHEN you move into a new place, it is often the kitchen that can feel a bit icky, with dated walls and tiles. But a really good and easy way to freshen up the space is putting up a metal splashback panel over the oven.

You can get these in stainless steel or even bronze. They are easy to keep clean, create a different texture and reflect light around the kitchen.

Stack it up

ANOTHER trick with books is to stack them on your floor against a wall. If you are like me and you have a lot of them, but not many bookcases, you can pile them up neatly, with the bigger ones at the bottom and the smaller ones at the top.

I’ve grouped together books of similar colours and every so often I will put a little sculpture on top, which gives an artistic look.

The large ceramic vase from my new M&S home design range (£29.50) would work perfectly here.

This is also a very cool way to create a small table next to a chair or sofa if you can’t afford to get a new piece of furniture. Just place a dish or similar on top and it looks really cute.

“Try a soft white that isn’t too yellow instead if you want a fresh clean look for paint grade cabinets, and a natural wood tone if you prefer stain grade.”

Selecting rugs that are too small for your space

And if you’ve got a tiny rug in your bedroom, prepare to be attacked.

Loren advised people to avoid tiny rugs[/caption]

According to Loren: “Your area rugs should be large enough to fit all of your furniture. Avoid wall to wall carpet as well.”

Buying anything fake

When it comes to the materials in your home, Loren is set against fakes.

He recommended: “Generally, I discourage the use of fake materials like Luxury Vinyl Planks and stone look porcelain counters and tiles. Natural is always better.”

Using overly literal design themes

If you want your home to impress, Loren shared the importance of avoiding too many designs.

Interior Design expert advice

The interior pro highlighted: “Following trends too literally makes a home a caricature and not a reflection of your own personality. Design with meaning.”

Painting prior to testing colours

For those looking to give their home a refresh with a lick of paint, you’ll want to take Loren’s advice.

He claimed: “One of the most common mistakes people make when designing their home is not testing colours prior to painting.

Trends interior designers hate

IF you want to ensure that your home looks glam, here are the trends that interior designers can't stand.

NO YELLOW: According to Bilal Rehman, yellow paint in a bedroom is a big no no.

He said: “If you want everyone to know you’re a horse girl then yellow is perfect for you.”

SIGN OFF: Kelly Hoppen shared her honest thoughts on Live, Love, Laugh signs.

The interior pro explained: “Another gripe of mine – Live, Laugh, Love – those kinds of wooden things that sit on book shelves and floating shelves, that’s so 10, 12, 15 years ago.”

NO GREY YAY: Julie Provenzano explained that grey interiors have been overdone.

She stressed: “We took a good thing and we overdid it to the point that it now feels copy, paste, basic.”

“Colours look different in every light. You should test multiple colours on your wall prior to painting.”

Having a random accent wall

Not only this, but Loren got candid on accent walls, as he snapped: “Accent walls generally feel incoherent and forced.”

Using decorative letters and signs

Similarly, Loren shared his candid thoughts on decorative signs, so look away if you’ve got ‘Live, Love, Laugh’ in your kitchen.

He described decorative signs as ‘cheesy’[/caption]

The pro slammed: “Decorative letters and signs are too literal and, frankly, cheesy.”

Buying labels and logos

As well as this, Loren claimed that logos and designer labels should be avoided at all costs.

He stressed: “Labels and logos are questionable in fashion and shouldn’t be in your home. There’s no need to promote a brand in your house.”

Using bold colours and patterns

Finally, for those debating the maximalist trend, Loren revealed his thoughts.

He stressed that the maximalist trend can be challenging to pull off[/caption]

He concluded: “It takes great expertise and care to pull off bold colours and patterns.

“It’s very easy to make a mess out of your home if you aren’t a pro.”

BIG DIVIDE

Loren’s TikTok clip, which was posted on his official TikTok account @lorenkreiss, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 48,700 views.

If bold colours are wrong I don’t wanna be right

TikTok user

But social media users were left totally divided by Loren’s claims – whilst many were offended by his thoughts, others couldn’t agree more.

One person said: “White Kitchen cabinets are always in style. As a Designer in LA that is what I order for my clients the most.”

Agree with them all

TikTok user

Another added: “If bold colours are wrong I don’t wanna be right.”

A third commented: “I love moody bold colours and patterns. It’s unique and you can appreciate someone leaning into their style if that’s what they love.”

However, at the same time, one DIY fan expressed: “Love and agree with everything you post!”

A second simply wrote: “Agreed!”

Whilst someone else beamed: “Agree with them all.”

Mysterious tech guru who ‘inadvertently helped Israel source pagers for Hezbollah attack’ goes MISSING on day of blitz

A MYSTERY tech guru who is believed to have accidentally helped source the explosive pagers that rocked Lebanon has gone missing.

Entrepreneur Rinson Jose, 39, hasn’t been seen or heard from since the day of the pager blasts which targeted Hezbollah fighters.

Jose is listed as an owner of Norta Global Ltd who Bulgarian media say took delivery of parts from Taiwan before helping to manufacture the pagers.

Those close to the Indian-born businessman say he may have fled to the US and is afraid to answer any calls due to the chaos in the Middle East.

It’s unclear what connection, if any, Jose has to the deadly pager bombs that wreaked havoc in Lebanon.

His colleagues are becoming increasingly concerned as they fear “something very strange” is going on.

A source close to Norta Global Ltd told The Sun: “Everyone is worried. On learning he was linked to the Lebanon pager bombs some of his colleagues have tried to reach him, but he’s on a business trip in America and is not answering calls.

“He left on the trip on Tuesday, but it doesn’t make any sense why he isn’t responding to people given the seriousness of what is going on, something very strange is happening.”

Originally from Mananthavady, India, the 39-year-old entrepreneur came to Norway in September 2012.

He lives in Oslo with his wife and has Norwegian citizenship.

There was no answer at his home on Thursday and neighbours say they haven’t seen him since the summer.

A close pal told Norwegian news site VG Jose was a man with a “big heart” who was well liked in the community.

As well as running several companies, including an IT consulting firm called NortaLink, Jose also works for Norwegian media firm, DN Media Group in Oslo.

His LinkedIn profile says he is their Customer, Journey and CRM lead.

Jose also runs a firm called the Indian Sport and Cultural Association of Norway.

According to local media reports DN Media Group have contacted the Norwegian Police Security Service after being contacted by an American journalist asking questions about Jose.

Oslo Police District have since “launched preliminary investigations into the information that has come to light”.

Spokesman Unni Grøndal said: “We are aware of the information, but have no comment on the matter as of now.”

Norta Global Ltd is registered to a shabby apartment block in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Despite the investigation in Norway, Bulgarian officials declared today that “no communication devices were imported, exported or manufactured in Bulgaria”.

Israel’s Mossad spy agency were allegedly behind the blasts after they were accused by Hezbollah of planting a small amount of explosives inside thousands of pagers ordered by the militant group.

The highly coordinated and long term plan reportedly involved several different covert operations which took place across the globe.

The trail of sabotage started months ago when Hezbollah ordered 5,000 beepers made by Taiwan-based Gold Apollo.

Leaders of the group are said to have told their fighters to use the pagers instead of mobile phones after fears they could be tracked by the IDF.

Gold Apollo told media the specific order was manufactured by BAC Consulting KFT in Budapest.

Gold Apollo boss Hsu Ching-kuang said BAC asked to manufacture their own pagers with the company’s trademark and they were paid from a mystery Middle Eastern bank account, NPR reports.

Despite the accusations against Israeli spies Mossad they are yet to comment on their involvement in the attacks.

Reports say Mossad set up shell companies to build the devices themselves taking advantage of Hezbollah’s use of “monkey firms”.

The gadgets were officially manufactured by Hungarian company BAC Consulting – who later denied allegations it had built them.

But the New York Times reported BAC is an Israeli shell company, one of at least three used by spies to mask their identity.

BAC took on ordinary clients and produced ordinary pagers but pagers sent to Hezbollah contained the explosive PETN.

Where did the pagers come from?

BY James Halpin, Foreign News Reporter

Iranian proxy Hezbollah ordered the pagers months ago but never thought the quaint piece of tech could be tampered with.

Hezbollah shifted to pagers after the group’s leader told members to stop using phones in February over fears they could be tracked by Israeli spies.

A senior Lebanese security source said the group had ordered 5,000 beepers made by Taiwan-based Gold Apollo, which were brought into the country in the spring.

But Gold Apollo told media in Taipei today the specific order was manufactured by BAC Consulting KFT in Budapest.

Gold Apollo boss Hsu Ching-kuang said BAC asked to manufacture their own pagers with the company’s trademark and they were paid from a mystery Middle Eastern bank account, NPR reports.

BAC Consulting chief executive Cristiana Bársony-Arcidiacono confirmed to media that her company worked with Gold Apollo.

But said, “I don’t make the pagers. I am just the intermediate.”

At some point during the manufacture, the devices were modified by Israel’s spy service with a small amount of explosive.

The AR-924 pager is described as being “rugged” and contains a rechargeable lithium battery with 85 days of battery life.

Their longevity would be important in Lebanon which has suffered major power outages.

Pagers also run on a different wireless network than mobile phones, making them more resilient in emergencies and harder for Israel to hack digitally.

The affected pagers were only delivered to Hezbollah recently, but other associates of the group were also injured, including the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon.

The devices are believed to have then been detonated almost simultaneously when the targets read a coded message.

This was tactically done in an attempt to maximise damage, say reports.

Former British military intelligence officer Philip Ingram told The Sun that Hezbollah has its own supply chains it relies on.

He said: “It will have had to been planned very carefully indeed. It will have required a large organisation or an organisation with a large reach, to be able to get into the supply chain of Hezbollah.”

Hezbollah and Iran vowed to seek revenge with Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps promising “a crushing response from the axis of resistance”.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah hit out against Israel in a speech, saying the “enemy” had crossed “all limits, rules and red lines” in a “massacre”.

He dubbed it a “declaration of war”.

It comes as Israel and Hezbollah have been exchanging fire across the Israeli-Lebanon border in parallel with the war Israel has waged in Gaza against Hamas after October 7.

Israel bombed hundreds of targets overnight with the military claiming to have destroyed 100 rocket launchers and around 1,000 launch barrels in the strikes.

Black and white footage posted to social media showed the country blowing up targets.

Tens of thousands of people have had to flee the border area on both sides.

Hezbollah have reportedly killed 26 civilians and 20 soldiers and forced another 80,000 Israelis to head south to escape the blitz in recent weeks.

Netanyahu vowed on Wednesday to return the evacuated Israelis “securely to their homes“.

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant declared the start of a “new phase” of war as the country’s army moved north.

The announcement paves the way for the first full-scale invasion of southern Lebanon since 2006 in a drive to push back the terror group and allow Israelis to return home.

Israel launched spy movie pager plot to lure Hezbollah into war…& destroy them once and for all, ex-Mossad agent warns

BY James Halpin, Foreign News Reporter

ISRAEL’S pager plot could be inspired by a spy film and the country is goading Hezbollah into starting a war, an ex-Mossad agent says.

Nearly 3,000 people were injured on Tuesday and 12 were killed in the sabotage attack leaving Lebanon in chaos and hospitals full of bloodied and injured.

Avner Avraham claims Israel is directly challenging Hezbollah to start a war in retaliation, so it can then invade Lebanon and wipe them out.

Avraham says the chess move attack was Israel saying: “Don’t mess with us”.

He said: “The attack on Tuesday was so strong and wide if they [Hezbollah] do start a limited war, they will lose immediately.

“In the north, we have to start a limited war and we prefer that Hezbollah would make the first mistake.

“The response would be a huge damage to Lebanon, it would go 100 years back.”

But, the 28-year spy veteran says Hezbollah has been left weak with so many people injured and Lebanon plunged into chaos.

“Now they don’t have a different kind of communication system, all their hospitals are full with injured people, this is the best time to attack them.”

Avraham said he believed Israel needed to attack Lebanon and create a “dead zone” inside the country where nobody lived.

That buffer would provide safety for the Israelis living in the north of the country – tens of thousands of whom have been displaced since fighting began last year.

“To bring back the families to the north, you cannot bring them to the world without destroying and pushing all the Hezbollah from the border.”

Avraham also said it is possible that the attack could have been inspired by gadgets used in spy films, something he did as an agent.

“Sometimes we use examples ideas from James Bond films, we took ideas, I can tell you this for sure.

He said: “No one could write the script for Tuesday. This is the real example of thinking outside the box… All the world saw what happened Tuesday, this is the money time.

“If Mossad is doing something and wants to declare it, they will declare it… In all cases they just do it and disappear.

“That’s the whole idea, you don’t know who is responsible for this, you don’t have any idea.”

I’m in love with AMBULANCES and romp with emergency vehicles – I’ve even taken their name…I’m just a car in human form

A PETROL station worker caught having sex with an ambulance has said they’re in a polygamous relationship with them – romping numerous vehicles and even taking their name.

Dominik Chvátal, from Prague, Czechia, was only 13 when they fell in love with emergency vehicles, with their fascination turning sexual just two years later.

Sanitka is only attracted to Mercedes-made emergency vehicles[/caption]

Now Dominik, who identifies as non-binary, takes the name Sanitka Mercedes – Sanitka being the Czech word for ambulance.

And believing themselves to be an ambulance, they’re in a polygamous relationship with other emergency vehicles – but only the Mercedes ones.

The 22-year-old said: “I chose the name myself. Because that’s how I feel. I am a car trapped in human form.”

But Sanitka says it’s not just sex – they have conversations too.

Asked what makes an ambulance attractive, they said: “Actually, it’s everything in terms of appearance, from wheels to lights. It’s love.

“We talk about everything that is normally talked about, it depends on what topic comes to mind – we talk like people do.

“And it is possible to have sex – the ambulance has many places where you can have a sexual act.

“It has several openings: the exhaust, the door handles, the front, and a lot in the chassis too.”

Sanitka has been diagnosed with objectophilia – a condition characterised by sexual or romantic attraction focused on particular inanimate objects.

Sanitka’s sexual fantasies with ambulances began as early as 15 years old[/caption]

In their case, it’s very specific – only Mercedes-made ambulances.

And though they like other cars, that’s purely platonic.

Volkswagens, for example, are a major turn-off.

Sanitka said: “I love only Mercedes emergency vehicles – all Mercedes ambulances.

“Volkswagens are ugly and mainly hurt Mercedes cars. They laugh when something hurts or bothers them.”

Sanitka is well aware that having sex with an ambulance in public is a risky business.

The petrol station worker revealed he has gotten into trouble quite often.

“One time paramedics rushed me, and despite my diagnosis, they called the police and I was taken to talk to a psychiatrist,” they said.

But Sanitka has learned to be discrete.

“They don’t even know about me anymore, that I walk around their depots,” they said.

“There is one company that has Mercedes ambulances and they directly allow me to go to them and have sex with Mercedes ambulances.”

For now, marriage is off the table for Sanitka, but he plans on maybe tying the knot overseas.

“Unfortunately, it is not possible in the Czech Republic,” they said.

“But perhaps it is in America – in Czechia, they say that America is a land of unlimited possibilities.”

In any case, Sanitka’s family has come to accept them as they are.

“My family reconciled after a long time and my friends understand and support me,” they said.

“I have no problem going public with it.

“It is harmless – I am not harming anyone.”

What is objectophilia?

OBJECTOPHILIA, also known as object sexuality, refers to a romantic or sexual attraction to inanimate objects rather than to people.

Those diagnosed with objectophilia may feel emotional, romantic, or sexual connections to specific objects, such as buildings, cars, or other non-living things.

These objects often hold deep significance for the person, and the attraction can manifest in different ways, from affectionate feelings to more intense physical desires.

Objectophilia is considered a rare phenomenon and is not widely understood within psychological or medical communities.

But some people with the condition report that they feel a meaningful bond or relationship with the object, which they perceive as reciprocal or emotionally fulfilling.

Helen Flanagan stuns in a white bikini as she cosies up to footballer boyfriend Robbie Talbot at Celebs Go Dating party

HELEN Flanagan looked incredible in a white bikini as she cosied up to her new boyfriend Robbie Talbot at the Celebs Go Dating finale.

The Coronation Street star, 34, slipped into the two-piece swimsuit as she celebrated with her other co-stars at the pool party.

She shocked fans earlier this series when she revealed she already had a boyfriend on the outside[/caption]

Helen, who dropped a huge bombshell earlier this series that she had a boyfriend on the outside, flashed a big smile next to her footballer beau, 44.

She wore the white sarong tied around her waist and completed her glam look with a full face of makeup and sleek loose tresses.

The couple looked in high spirits as they wrapped their arms around each other for the loved-up snap.

Robbie matched with his girlfriend in a classic white t-shirt and a pair of light grey shorts.

Many fans were delighted that Helen has found love again, after splitting from the father of her children, footballer Scott Sinclair in 2022.

This fan gushed: “He seems like a really nice guy and you both seem so well suited.”

A second posted: “You two are so cute together. He’s a keeper. I met my keeper nearly 11 years ago with 3 small kids. Long may it last.”

A third added: “He seems very nice, good luck to her.”

It comes after Celebs Go Dating agent Paul C Brunson slammed Helen after joining the agency when she had a secret boyfriend.

The actress was one of the famous faces who asked for Paul, Anna Williamson and Dr Tara for help to find love.

However half way through the series, Helen dropped the bombshell that she already had a man that she had fallen in love with.

Since then Helen and boyfriend Robbie Talbot have joined the agency for relationship advice.

During an appearance on Capital Breakfast today, hosts Chris Stark and Sian Welby couldn’t help but bring up Helen’s antics.

Paul said: “Through the years, because I’ve been on this one for 9 series, through the years we’ve had rumours of celebs who have walked in with partners, but we never had the proof of it.

“But here’s Helen saying “yeah I’ve got a boyfriend, and I’m in love.” I was very upset. I was very upset.

“And the reason why, is we had wasted so much time and energy and she was out here kissing other guys!”

Chris then asked: “So before then, was she treating it like an acting job? She was kissing other people, but she was playing the role in the agency . Is that how you kind of saw it?”

Paul said: “That’s exactly how I saw it.”

Earlier this week Helen revealed a huge new step in her romance with her footballer beau.

During a catch-up with social media star Ashley James, Helen admitted Robbie had stepped into the step-dad role with her three children – Matilda, Delilah and Charlie.

Helen revealed to Ashley: “He is just amazing and he treats me so well.

“He is just the sweetest guy.

“He really helps me with the kids.”

She then went on to add of his hands-on approach to her son, revealing: “He takes Charlie to nursery – he helped me the other day with the kids.

“He can’t do enough for me.”

Helen’s romance has raised a few eyebrows – and she spoke candidly about her man on Lorraine last week.

She said: “I signed up for the show at the beginning of the year, and we [she and Robbie] were dating.

“It just progressed.

“I wear my heart on my sleeve and I just wanted to come clean.”

She added: “I wanted to be true to myself.

“I am a big fan of the show, I love the show, and I wanted to get the most from the show.

“I wanted to be honest.”

Helen split with Scott Sinclair, 35, in 2022 after 13 years together. They share three kids.

Coronation Street star in shock return despite evil character’s final scenes – sparking rumours of heartstopping twist

EMRHYS Cooper has been spotted back on the set of Coronation Street after his exit from the soap – leaving fans wondering if there is one final twist coming up for his character.

The actor is known for playing cult leader Rowan Cunliffe, who left Weatherfield under a cloud of suspicion when he was reported to the police for blackmail and fraud.

He fled Corrie last week after being reported to police for his coercive behaviour[/caption]

Rowan had been recruiting locals to a group called ‘the Institute’ and fleecing them out of money.

He started off by brainwashing Leanne into joining his cult by giving her access to an AI version of her dead son Oliver.

Leanne started to progress along the ranks and participated in uploading sessions – as well as being broken down during horrific malware sessions.

She even helped Rowan convince Amy Barlow to invest her £400,000 inheritance in the cult.

But she finally started to see the light when Amy fled her malware session in tears after being disgustingly branded as a “w***e” and a “sl*g” after opening up about being raped by Aaron Sandford.

While going through Rowan’s laptop to delete any files containing personal information about her and Amy, she discovered that the cult leader had known all along her husband was cheating on her with her sister.

Rowan had been blackmailing Nick, using the information to stop him from speaking out against the Institute.

With the cat out of the bag and Nick’s relationship with Leanne ruined, he went ahead and reported the cult leader to the cops.

In what seemed to be Rowan’s final scenes on the soap he fled town after having his schemes uncovered.

But now the Sun can confirm that Emrhys has made a return to set – which means there may be a final twist coming in the cult storyline.

The actor posted a selfie on his Instagram story yesterday that was taken in the Coronation Street dressing room.

In it he was wearing Rowan’s regular costume – a grey suit paired with a nice shirt.

A source confirmed to the Sun that the soap star was filming new scenes yesterday, so the cult leader might have one final ploy up his sleeve.

Coronation Street's 2024 shock exits

Corrie has said goodbye to several cast members this year. Let's break down who's left the famous soap:

Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) has said farewell to Corrie to start a new life in Germany.

The youngster moved to live with her dad Dom Everett, who went back on the £10,000 bribe Eliza’s grandfather Stu had offered to keep him out of her life.

Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) will bow out of the soap this summer when he loses his fight with motor neurone disease (MND) in tragic scenes.

After being diagnosed last year, the fan favourite was devastated to learn he only had months left to live.

Viewers know he is planning to take his own life to end his suffering.

Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) departed the cobbles after being offered the opportunity of a lifetime to study in America.

Though she struggled to decide with her stepdad Paul’s impending death from MND, she was convinced she had to live her life to the full.

Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) has struggled with the sudden departure of his father Peter from the cobbles.

The Weatherfield legend left his family and loved ones behind on Boxing Day, 2023, when his wife Carla Connor encouraged him to travel around the world with a friend.

Simon’s been on a downward spiral ever since and his exit could end in tragedy.

Alya Nazir is set to leave the cobbles as actress Sair Khan prepares to go on maternity leave ahead of the birth of her first child.

It looks likely she’ll be heading to Dublin after securing a lucrative new job, leaving her colleague and fling Adam Barlow behind.

Show stalwart Sue Cleaver, who plays Eileen Grimshaw, is taking a break to star in the Sister Act The Musical UK tour. She will be back filming in May once her dates on the tour come to an end.

Her character left the Street after her son Jason broke his back after falling off a moped in Asia.

Fury as MPs keep heating benefit while millions of pensioners will lose winter fuel payments

A CABINET Minister faced the wrath of voters over Winter Fuel cuts last night – including why MPs can still claim on heating bills while pensioners are losing out.

Commons Leader Lucy Powell was forced to defend Chancellor Rachel Reeves’ decision to axe the £200-£300 payments for 10million OAPs.

On BBC Question Time one audience member challenged the Labour frontbencher to remove MPs’ heating allowance and use the cash to help struggling pensioners

To crowd applause she vented: “How do you justify withdrawing the payment from pensioners?”

Most MPs can expense heating and utility bills at a single property – either their constituency home or London residence – to stop them forking out for two addresses.

The only exception is MPs who represent a seat in the capital, or have the run of a grace-and-favour property like Downing Street.

Ms Powell replied: “Obviously we pay heating in our homes like everybody else, and we’ve seen those costs going up and up and up in recent years with inflation and energy costs going up.

“There’s no denying this is a very difficult thing to do and it will be difficult for people. It’s not something we came into government wanting to do at all.”

But Tory MP Graham Stuart hit back: “It’s taking £300 away from the very poorest pensioners.

“The very poorest pensioners are not the pensioners on pension credit, very low income though they’ve got, it’s the people that are eligible for it – but that for one reason or another, don’t claim.”

Means-testing Winter Fuel Payments is expected to save around £1.5billion a year according to the Treasury.

Sir Keir Starmer has refused to u-turn despite a Labour rebellion, and warned of more “tough decisions” at next month’s Budget.

Campaigners have warned that pensioners earning just above the means-tested cap will seriously struggle this winter when their cold-weather cash is axed.

Ms Reeves is also standing firm despite a reported £10billion windfall from the Bank of England selling loss-making bonds less quickly.

Black Mirror has been a favourite among fans since on Channel 4 in 2011 before moving to Netflix ahead of series 3.

Created by Charlie Brooker, the series, which is inspired by The Twilight Zone, explores various genres, with most episodes set in near-future dystopias while using themes of technology and media to comment on contemporary social issues.

Although there has been a long wait between seasons, notably the four-year gap between series 5 and 6 due to the Covid pandemic, Netflix continues to bring thrilling episodes of Black Mirror to the screen.

The streamer confirmed the show’s return in a short sci-fi inspired trailer.

It is made to look like an old computer screen which is rebooting and showing lines of code.

But instead of actual code, it is a list of the actors who are confirmed to appear in series 7.

The trailer moves through the names almost too fast for viewers to compute but it is possible to spot the names of Deadpool and Wolverine and The Crown actor Emma Corrin, alongside Criminal Record and Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi, Barbie’s Issa Rae, and Jumanji: The Next Level and Jackpot star Awkwafina.

A press release from Netflix confirms that Patsy Ferran (Firebrand), Lewis Gribben (Blade Runner 2099), Rashida Jones (Sunny), Siena Kelly (Domino Day), Rosy McEwen (Blue Jean), Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids), Paul G. Raymond (Horrible Histories), Tracee Ellis Ross (Black-ish) and Harriet Walter (Succession) will round out the cast for series 7.

Though viewers could blink and miss it, their names are also visible in the trailer, as are Cristin Milioti (The Penguin), Jimmi Simpson (Westworld), Billy Magnussen (Road House), Osy Ikhile (Citadel), Milanka Brooks (Mum And I Don’t Talk Anymore) and Paul Giamatti (The Holdovers) who will return to Black Mirror having first appeared in the USS Callister episode in 2017.

The new series, which will hit Netflix in 2025, will consist of six episodes.

“You can expect a mix of genres and styles,” Charlie teased at Netflix’s own mini Comic Con, Geeked Week.

He added: “We’ve got six episodes this time, and two of them are basically feature-length. Some of them are deeply unpleasant, some are quite funny, and some are emotional.”

Charlie added that the season has gone “back to basics.”

“We have evolved to a place where it’s kind of OG Black Mirror this season,” he said. “So it’s all sci-fi, techno-dystopia,” he explained.

While he didn’t reveal too many spoilers about the upcoming season, Charlie did tease one key piece of information to keep viewers excited: One of the episodes will be a sequel to the now-classic Season 4 opener, “USS Callister.”

“Fans of the show will recognise the cast of a certain spaceship from one of our episodes reappearing.

“We’ve done a sequel for the first time in Black Mirror history. Normally, I kill off all the characters at the end of an episode, and I kept some of ’em alive. I’m growing as a human,” he said.
