On Tuesday, Orlando Pirates released a statement to confirm that “both parties have agreed to amicably part ways following a meeting earlier today”.
“On behalf of the extended Orlando Pirates family, we would like to thank Lesedi for his time at the club and we wish him all the best for the future,” the statement continued.
Kapinga has struggle to find consistent game-time at Orlando Pirates, and recently it was reported that his future hung in the balance.
The midfielder only made two starts and 11 substitute appearances last season, and ultimately it quickly became evident that he was not part of Jose Riveiro’s planning going forward.
