England could be banned from hosting its OWN Euros under Keir Starmer proposal
UEFA have threatened England with a ban from playing and hosting Euro 2028.
Prime Minister and Arsenal fan Sir Keir Starmer is set to push forward with plans to implement a football regulator.

Britain will be the first country to have a football watchdog in place and Uefa are said to be unhappy about it.
The European governing body has slammed the proposed “interference in the running of football”.
And in a leaked letter sent to Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy, Uefa general secretary Theodore Theodoridis has threatened to strip England from competing in tournaments.
Theodoridis wrote: “We do have concerns remaining… as normally football regulation should be managed by the national federation.
“One particular area of concern stems from one of Uefa’s fundamental requirements, which is that there should be no government interference in the running of football.
“We have specific rules that guard against this in order to guarantee the autonomy of sport and fairness of sporting competition.
“The ultimate sanction for which would be excluding the federation from Uefa and teams from competition.”

This would mean that English clubs could be banned from European tournaments like the Champions League.
Uefa also hit out at the football regulator’s proposed “backstop powers”.
The move could see the watchdog be allowed to intervene in talks between the Premier League and EFL over funding.
On this, Theodoridis said: “Mandating redistribution which effects the competitive balance in the game and wider European competition would be of concern to us.
“We also fear that having a third party intervene in redistribution would likely prevent amicable solutions being found.
“As we see it, the ‘backstop’ power, while intended as a safety net, should be carefully reconsidered to avoid undermining these fundamental principles.”

Watch QPR vs Sheff Weds goalmouth scramble ‘that has to be seen to be believed’ with even opposition KEEPER involved
SATURDAY’S Championship clash between QPR and Sheffield Wednesday produced a goalmouth scramble for the ages.
The incredible drama wasn’t just entertaining, but also had a huge bearing on the result.
Di’Shon Bernard cleared a header off the line from a last minute corner[/caption] The ball came back out and QPR tried to put it back towards goal[/caption] Bodies were all over the place in the box trying to get hold of the ball, including QPR keeper Paul Nardi[/caption] The ball finally popped up to Alfie Lloyd[/caption] He poked the ball home to grab a late equaliser[/caption] It was bedlam as QPR’s players ran off to celebrate[/caption]The match, being played at Hillsborough, had been goalless throughout until Sheffield Wednesday grabbed what they thought was a late winner through Barry Bannan in the 93rd minute.
That should have been it but visiting side QPR had other ideas, sending up every single player into the Wednesday box for a 96th minute corner.
The last roll of the dice included QPR keeper Paul Nardi who had made the decision to ditch his own box and head into the opposition’s.
The in-swinging corner produced utter chaos with 21 players scrambling to get on the end of the ball.
An initial header was cleared off the line by Wednesday defender Di’Shon Bernard before the ball returned into the heart of the box where bodies were diving in front of it to prevent a late equaliser.
QPR captain Steve Cook had a couple bites at the cherry to try and poke home a goal for his side but saw a sea of limbs block each effort.
Gloveman Nardi even tried to help by closing down a loose ball and trying to take a swing goalwards.
After a few more seconds of pinball inside the box, the ball finally dropped into the path of QPR substitute Alfie Lloyd who poked home to grab his side a point at the death.

Pure elation followed as all 11 QPR players ran off to celebrate their dramatic ending.
Fans at home were absolutely loving the goalmouth scramble, chuffed that the Championship was offering up some vintage football.
On social media, one fan wrote: “This 96th minute equaliser from QPR might be the greatest goalmouth scramble I’ve ever seen. Magnificent.”
While another added: “Looks like something that would happen in the playground at break”.
A third joked: “That’s the Puskas Award sorted then”.
A fourth posted: “That is a thing of beauty”.
And a fifth teased: “It’s like when someone shouts ‘next goal wins’ in a game of Knock Out Wembley.”
Alfie Lloyd may have been the happiest person out of them all though as the forward described his last gasp goal as the “best moment of my life”.
Speaking to QPR‘s official outlets after the game, he said: “That is the best moment of my life. That is the best moment of my life, factually.
“When I came on I just thought ‘do what you can do and show what you can do’.
“Then when the ball was scrambling I thought ‘maybe I can get something’.
“It just came to me and I’ve quickly poked it and I was like ‘no way have I just scored!’
“The celebration was crazy, there’s no better feeling than that. I’m just on top of the world right now.
“It’s a shame we couldn’t get the win. If it was the winner it would have been even more perfect but a point away from home in a big stadium is a good feeling.”

STRICTLY Come Dancing viewers were confused when they spotted a problem with Jamie Borthwick’s professional pairing.
This isn’t the first time the EastEnders actor has appeared on the show, as he previously participated in the Christmas Special last year.
Strictly fans were confused by Jamie Borthwick’s professional pairing with Michelle Tsiakkas[/caption] Fans questioned why Jamie wasn’t paired with Nancy Xu again[/caption]Jamie, known for his role as Jay Brown on EastEnders, participated in the 2023 Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.
He was partnered with professional dancer Nancy Xu, and their festive performance earned them the Christmas champion title.
Fans found it unusual that Jamie, who had previously been paired with Nancy, was instead paired with Michelle Tsiakkas for the main series.
Viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to point out how odd it seemed.
One user wrote: “I have no idea why they didn’t put Nancy and Jamie together!!”
Another added: “Not going to lie, I really wanted Nancy to be with Jamie again! But, I’m 100% sure Jamie and Michelle will be amazing.”
Just the series began, a third fan penned: “He was brilliant with Nancy on the Christmas special last year. I hope he gets paired with her again for the main series. He’ll definitely be one to watch.”
A fourth fan who was supportive of Jamie’s new pairing wrote: “I love that Michelle is getting a decent partner on her first year with a celeb. I’m glad that the producers didn’t do the obvious by putting Nancy & Jamie together.”
Jamie received several playful digs and was accused of cheating by his fellow celebs during the launch show due to his previous participation in the Christmas Special.
When host Claudia Winkleman turned to Jamie to talk to him at one point, Wynne Evans called out “cheat!”
Moments later, Claudia spoke to Pete Wicks about his decision to take part on the show, and if he was going to fully embrace the process and the bright, glittery costumes.
Pete said he was, as “you’re only here once” before adding with perfect timing: “Unless you’re Jamie”.
But as everyone laughed, Strictly viewers were quick to take to X about the jibes, and point out Jamie isn’t the only 2024 star who has been on the show before.
One wrote: “Everyone’s going on about Jamie doing the Christmas special last year but JB also did it in 2012.”
Another added: “So two of the celebrities this year have already won the Christmas special are we running out of celebs now.”
A third also pointed out that everyone seems to be forgetting JB did the Christmas Special in 2012 with former pro Ola Jordan.
They wrote: “Is nobody going to address the Christmas JB shaped elephant in the room #Strictly.”
In fact, JB also won the festive glitterball trophy during the 2012 Christmas Special after dancing a Jive.
