My dad was an Olympic hurdler and my mum did the long jump, now I’m making my own way in the Premier League

But his parents are more used to the athletics track than the football pitch.

Cahill is making the most of his sporting genes as Brighton‘s third choice keeper.

It was confirmed last week that the youngster has made the club’s 25-man Premier League squad.

And the news of him crossing the line from youth to senior football would have made his parents and former athletes Sean and Terri very proud.

The 20-year-old’s dad is a former Olympic hurdler, who represented Ireland at the Atlanta 1996 Games.

He came seventh in the second heat in the 110m hurdles.

As for Terri, she is a former long jump star and she once jumped 6.11m at 1993 World Championships in Stuttgart.

Cahill channels his mum’s leaping talents on the goal-line and they caught the eye of Brighton scouts two years ago while playing for Shamrock Rovers’ youth-team.

He signed a new contract extension at the Seagulls over the summer.

FOOTBALL FREE BETS AND SIGN UP DEALS

Cahill is still waiting for his senior debut – but he has earned two caps for Ireland‘s Under-21s.

His first appearance came in a 2-2 draw against England.

Who are these famous footballers?

The Royal Sweet perfume is a dupe of Victoria’s Secret Bombshell perfume – but costs much less than the original.

B&M is selling the body mist for £2.99, while Victoria’s Secret perfume costs £59 for a 100ml bottle, £45 for 50ml and £15 for 7ml on the official website.

Victoria’s Secret also sells the fragrance as a body mist – costing £22 for a 250ml bottle and £15 for 75ml.

After finding the fragrance dupe at B&M, a shopper shared a photo of the product on the Facebook group “Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK”, where customers regularly post their favourite bargains.

She wrote: “This is a copy of Victoria’s Secret Bombshell, found it in B&M for £2.99.

“It’s not long lasting probably 2-3 hours, it’s a body mist so to be expected and for the price.”

But the shopper said it is “perfect” if you already wear perfume and can layer it underneath.

She added the body mist is a good gift idea over Christmas.

Other B&M customers commented on the post to share their thoughts on the fragrance.

One wrote: “I got this it’s so nice.”

Another added: “Love this. Smells so good.”

A shopper commented: “Love this but so hard to find!”

Someone tagged her friend and said: “We need to try this one.”

And one more person said: “I love Bombshell but to be honest I don’t think the real thing lasts very long anyway.”

  • You don’t need to sign up to the B&M app to use the barcode scanner.

How else to save money at B&M

According to one ex-B&M manager, you’ll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday.

This is when staff slash items to as little as 10p to clear excess stock and make way for new products.

You should also keep an eye out for red sticker products as well, according to deals expert Tom Church.

These are put on special buy products that have also been reduced in price.

At the time of filming the clip Olga was 44 but she has still barely aged and has left people stunned with many claiming her skin looks better than theirs despite being decades older.

In the clip, she revealed: “How I keep my 44-year-old skin healthy.”

She revealed it was all down to one step in her skincare routine – cleansing – but with a specific product.

Olga swore by using an oil cleaner to wash away impurities and keep her skin baby soft.

She said it was: “Simple, effective, keeps the skin barrier healthy and picks up all the dirt and make-up.”

Olga revealed she massaged the oil cleanser into her skin and used a warm bamboo cloth to wipe it away.

If her gorgeous wrinkle-free skin is anything to go by we’ll be stocking up on oil cleansers in no time, and we’ve found a bargain deal at Primark for £5.

The PS… Poreless Prep + Perfect Oil Cleanser promised to remove dirt and make-up without drying out the skin.

Primark bosses say: “Designed with combination and oily skin types in mind, this cleansing oil is formulated to help melt away dirt, debris and makeup, all while conditioning and nourishing the skin.

“The dermatologically and ophthalmologically tested lightweight oil aims to minimise the appearance of pores, leaving the complexion looking smooth and refreshed.

“Use this product as your first cleanse before going in with a face wash as your second cleanse.”

The clip has since gone viral on her TikTok account @naturalfacebible with over 2 million views and 265k likes.

People were quick to thank her for the skincare tip and couldn’t believe how amazing her skin looked.

One person wrote: “Your skin is better than mine and I’m 19.”

Why is Primark the place to go to for bargains?

JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering on-trend items at such incredible prices? According to bosses, it's down to four points.

  • They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that, they are able to make savings by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
  • They “do very little advertising”
  • While their clothes offer the “latest trends”, they “don’t use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
  • And lastly, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight on shelf”.

For more information about how Primark keeps their costs so low, and are able to deliver such amazing bargains, visit the Primark website.

Another commented: “You look sooo good without makeup.”

“I look older than you and I’m 18,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “I was really just about to go to bed with my makeup still on now this video is guilt tripping me.”

“Ma’am you are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “I was going to ask if you’ve had Botox, so happy to hear you haven’t! You’re an inspiration.”

Watch as Helen Flanagan praises new footballer boyfriend after Celebs Go Dating was accused of ‘faking dates’

HELEN Flanagan has gushed over her new footballer boyfriend as she lifted the lid on signing for Celebs Go Dating when they were already dating.

The former Coronation Street actress, 34, opened up on claims she should have quit the E4 series when The Sun was first to reveal she was “in love” with her new man.

Helen‘s secret romance then played out in full on Celebs Go Dating, in scenes which saw her confess her feelings about former footballer Robbie Talbot, 44, to the programme’s relationship experts.

On Monday’s Lorraine show, the mum of three was quizzed on the situation – which came as part of her desire to move on following her split with fiance Scott Sinclair, 35.

The couple broke up in October 2022 after their 13-year relationship came to an end.

Yet Helen told ITV host Lorraine Kelly, 64, how her intentions for Celebs Go Dating were pure when she put pen to paper on her deal – despite allegations of “faking” her feelings during her opening show dates.

She said: “I signed up for the show at the beginning of the year, and we [she and Robbie] were dating.

“It just progressed.

“I wear my heart on my sleeve and I just wanted to come clean.”

She added: “I wanted to be true to myself.

“I am a big fan of the show, I love the show, and I wanted to get the most from the show.

“I wanted to be honest.”

The actress then addressed how her relationship with Robbie, who played for teams including Morcambe and Burton Albion, had become “really intense” as she started filming the matchmaking series.

Helen – now clearly loved-up – then went on to praise her man for supporting her latest career venture.

She said of the show, on which Robbie has now appeared: “It’s not his thing at all.

Celebs Go Dating 2024 cast

Celebs Go Dating is soon welcoming a new bunch of famous faces in search of love. Here is where you may have seen some of them before...

“He is a blokey bloke.

“It’s not his thing at all.

“It was sweet he came onto the show with me.”

Later in the chat, she told how Robbie is “not bothered” about the showbiz lifestyle “at all.”

Her comments came after we reported that Helen’s boyfriend had been written into the series as a show first.

She dropped the bombshell following a fast-flirting event.

The Celebs Go Dating singletons had been tasked with an event to test their skills under pressure, and were armed with buzzers and a deck of “get to know you” cards.

She said: “Unfortunately I am comparing everyone to him [Ronnie]

“And it’s making it very difficult now when I’m dating.”

In a piece direct to camera, Anna Williamson said: “Pardon, you’ve got a boyfriend?

“Why on Earth hasn’t she told us?”

Addressing the group, Helen continued: “My feelings have just got stronger and more intense.

“I actually could see something with this guy at home being something really quite lovely

“I think I am in love with him.”

Previously, a source told us: “Helen tried to keep the relationship under wraps because of Celebs Go Dating.

“But that’s become difficult as their feelings have grown for each other. It came to a head when she was quizzed by the dating agents about why she was failing to pursue connections on the show.

“The one rule of CGD is stars must be single.

“But E4 bosses were desperate to keep her, so found a way to write Robbie into the show.

“Sources on set have seen him filming alongside Helen. While it’s not known how E4 will justify the fakery, viewers will feel they’re trying to pull the wool over their eyes.”

Since the scenes played out, Helen has made a cheeky sex confession about her new man while talking to the experts.

She couldn’t keep her hands off her new man as they headed onto the show sofa.

Four in 10 Brits have missed out on ‘free money’ from loyalty rewards, discount cards or cashback points because they have expired before they can use them.

With the main reasons including it being too complicated, time consuming or they simply can’t be bothered.

While 26% are never sure if it’s just a scam, and 61 per cent think you have to spend ‘a lot’ of money on a credit card before getting decent rewards.

Mark Plowright, director of Virgin Trains Ticketing, which lets customers purchase railcards on the app and website, says: “We all wish our money could go a bit further.

“Railcards are one of the most efficient cash-savers out there, yet 64 per cent of train travellers don’t own one.

“Many will know the pain of growing out of their young person’s railcard, but there are lots of others available that can help save money.”

The study found seven in 10 (69% ) consider pure cash rewards the best benefit a company can offer.

Second on the list was discount vouchers (37%), followed free products, services or trips (26 per cent).

Just under six in 10 (59%) also say they would be more likely to use a loyalty reward scheme if the process were simplified.

As 43% admit there are places they often shop at, which offer rewards, but they’re not signed up to them.

Even though 84% believe it’s now more important than ever to get the most out of your money, according to the OnePoll figures.

And when they do save, over half (56%) have been surprised by the sheer amount they’ve managed to get.

While 14% have bought a more expensive train ticket by accident or have forgotten to use their railcard.

And 38% don’t think you can save much with a railcard – despite those with a 16-25 or 26-30 railcard being able to cut their train travel cost by a third.

Mark Plowright for Virgin Trains Ticketing, which helps travellers save money on their next train ticket by earning points on travel, added: “With the cost of living still a huge issue, it’s more important than ever to be financially savvy.

“Utilising rewards programs, loyalty schemes and discount cards can help save money on essentials and make the most of your spending.”

Supermarket loyalty schemes - which has one?

MOST UK supermarkets have loyalty schemes so customers can build up points and save money while they shop.

Here we round up what saving programmes you’ll find at the big brands.

  • Iceland: Unlike other stores, you don’t collect points with the Iceland Bonus Card. Instead, you load it up with money and Iceland will give you £1 for every £20 you save.
  • Lidl Plus: Lidl customers don’t collect points when they shop, and are instead rewarded with personalised vouchers that gives them money off at the till.
  • Morrisons: The My Morrisons: Make Good Things Happen replaces the More Card and rewards customers with personalised money off vouchers via the app.
  • Sainsbury’s: While Sainsbury’s doesn’t have a personal scheme, it does own the Nectar card which can also be used in Argos, eBay and other shops. You need 200 Nectar points to save up £1 to spend on your card. You need to spend at least £1 to get one Nectar point.
  • Tesco: Tesco Clubcard has over 17million members in the UK alone. You use it each time you shop and build up points that can be turned into vouchers – 150 points gets you a £1.50 voucher. Here you need to spend £1 in Tesco to get one point.
  • Waitrose: myWaitrose also doesn’t allow you to collect points but instead you’ll get access to free hot drinks, and discounts off certain brands in store.
