Helen Flanagan reveals MAJOR step in relationship with new boyfriend Robbie as he takes on step-dad duties to her 3 kids

HELEN Flanagan has revealed a huge new step in her romance with footballer beau Robbie Talbot.

The former Coronation Street actress, 34, was forced to come clean about her secret romance with Robbie on Celebs Go Dating after admitting she had fallen in love with him despite looking for love on the E4 programme.

She revealed all on how Robbie had been supporting her parenting

Since then, the TV beauty and Robbie have been receiving couples therapy on the show in order to ensure their relationship can stand the test of time.

Amid their time on the programme, Helen has now admitted that things have now fast-forwarded even more as she made a surprising romance confession.

During a catch-up with social media star Ashley James, Helen admitted Robbie had stepped into the step-dad role with her three children – Matilda, Delilah and Charlie.

Helen revealed to Ashley: “He is just amazing and he treats me so well.

“He is just the sweetest guy.

“He really helps me with the kids.”

She then went on to add of his hands-on approach to her son, revealing: “He takes Charlie to nursery – he helped me the other day with the kids.

“He can’t do enough for me.”

Helen had originally signed up to the dating show as part of her desire to move on following her split with fiance Scott Sinclair, 35.

Last week, Helen was quizzed about her and 44-year-old Robbie’s romance during an appearance on ITV breakfast show Lorraine.

The couple broke up in October 2022 after their 13-year relationship came to an end.

Yet Helen told ITV host Lorraine Kelly, 64, how her intentions for Celebs Go Dating were pure when she put pen to paper on her deal – despite allegations of “faking” her feelings during her opening show dates.

She said: “I signed up for the show at the beginning of the year, and we [she and Robbie] were dating.

“It just progressed.

Celebs Go Dating 2024 cast

Celebs Go Dating is soon welcoming a new bunch of famous faces in search of love. Here is where you may have seen some of them before...

“I wear my heart on my sleeve and I just wanted to come clean.”

She added: “I wanted to be true to myself.

“I am a big fan of the show, I love the show, and I wanted to get the most from the show.

“I wanted to be honest.”

Helen and Robbie have put on a loved-up display on the show

Previously, a source told us: “Helen tried to keep the relationship under wraps because of Celebs Go Dating.

“But that’s become difficult as their feelings have grown for each other. It came to a head when she was quizzed by the dating agents about why she was failing to pursue connections on the show.

“The one rule of CGD is stars must be single.

“But E4 bosses were desperate to keep her, so found a way to write Robbie into the show.

“Sources on set have seen him filming alongside Helen. While it’s not known how E4 will justify the fakery, viewers will feel they’re trying to pull the wool over their eyes.”

Since the scenes played out, Helen has made a cheeky sex confession about her new man while talking to the experts.

She couldn’t keep her hands off her new man as they headed onto the show sofa.

Preston 1 Fulham 1 (16-15 pens): Premier League side dumped out of Carabao Cup after record-breaking penalty shootout

RYAN LEDSON was the hero as Preston won a record-breaking shootout – after 34 PENALTIES.

North End stunned Fulham to beat the previous benchmark in the League Cup, when Liverpool beat Middlesbrough 14-13 on pens in 2014 when 30 were taken.

Cottagers star Timothy Castagne blazed his penalty over the bar before skipper Ledson netted to send Fulham out.

Reiss Nelson gave Fulham a dazzling glimpse of his big-time promise with a sweet debut goal.

The winger, signed from Arsenal on loan, made his first start and set up and finished a slick equaliser in the 62nd minute.

Nelson created the space for Ryan Sessegnon to go wide and was in the middle when the cross came to fire home at the near post.

Fulham needed that cutting edge after dominating but failing to take their chances.

Marco Silva changed his entire team but still had enough big names.

But Silva’s defence always looked shaky, with Issa Diop booked after two early badly-timed trips.

Keeper Steven Benda clawed away a header from Kaine Kesler-Hayden after Josh Bowler caused trouble with a cross.

Bowler started the move that brought the breakthrough goal with another ball that Mads Frokjaer headed into the danger zone.

Harrison Reed cleared but North End skipper Ledson returned the ball with interest from the edge of the box – cracking home in the 35th minute.

Nelson’s leveller should have opened the door for more.

But North End dug in well and once again the lack of a final touch frustrated the Craven Cottage men as they were dumped out.

Astonishing leniency towards Huw Edwards exposes a two-tier justice system which must be rebuilt

Rotten justice

THE astonishing leniency towards Huw Edwards exposes a two-tier justice system which must be rebuilt.

It is not just the suspicion that convicted celebrities get better treatment than ordinary criminals, as if the establishment considers their public disgrace punishment enough.

The astonishing leniency towards Huw Edwards exposes a two-tier justice system which must be rebuilt[/caption]

It is that four out of five paedos, regardless of background, dodge jail for having child abuse pictures as Edwards did.

It is scandalous that a man can be locked away for stealing cherry bakewells but not for viewing images of a small boy being raped.

Each horrific photo the BBC’s top journalist leered over was of an innocent child being sexually abused.

He and other perverts fuel an abhorrent global trade in exploitation.

Is Edwards being sufficiently punished, living freely and in comfort, while attending occasional rehabilitation sessions? Hardly.

And what deterrent is there if paedos are overwhelmingly likely to get just a slap on the wrist over illegal images?

None — as our dossier today proves.

Medic menaces

THE arrogance, self-importance and naked greed of the junior doctors’ BMA union are a sickening disgrace.

The young medics have reluctantly accepted their jaw-dropping 22 per cent rise — a no-strings-attached bribe to stop their incessant strikes.

But their power-crazed Marxist union leaders have banked that and warned of more walkouts unless ultimately they get another 20.8 per cent.

Meanwhile the Health Department has agreed to rebrand junior doctors “resident doctors” — the union deeming the original too demeaning.

They demand our respect, while threatening to blackmail the NHS yet again for even more money.

These are the tactics of gangsters, not junior doctors.

The Government cannot appease militant extremists. They just keep coming for more.

Free and Keir

THE scandal over the Starmers’ freebies is not whether Commons rules were followed.

It is why a wealthy Prime Minister and his wife believe they still need designer clothes and even glasses bought for them by a Labour-backing tycoon who was given a Downing Street pass.

It is that Sir Keir somehow imagined this was OK while simultaneously stripping pensioners of their winter heating payment (to give to train drivers from a union which bankrolls Labour).

And, as Tory leadership hopeful Kemi Badenoch says, it is about the sanctimonious rage with which the PM and his party previously savaged the Tory Government for taking donations to redecorate No10’s publicly owned flat.

How confected and hypocritical all that moralising over sleaze looks now.

Inside Harry Kane’s incredible night as England star breaks THREE records in Bayern’s 9-2 Champions League battering

HARRY KANE shattered three Champions League records in one evening as Bayern Munich thrashed Dinamo Zagreb 9-2.

Kane took his tally to 33 in the competition and stole another record from Wayne Rooney.

And bagged three penalties in Bayern’s Champions League opener

Kane became the highest-scoring English player in Champions League history after his four goals at the Allianz Arena.

The England captain has overtaken Rooney’s tally of 30 goals in 85 games in the competition, all of which were scored for Manchester United.

And Kane did it in 40 games less.

It was Rooney’s goalscoring record that Kane had surpassed for the Three Lions in March 2023 – he now has 68 national team goals to Rooney’s 53.

And the record breaking didn’t stop there.

The former Spurs striker also became the first Englishman to score four goals in a single Champions League game.

And the first player of any nationality to net three from the spot in the same match.

Kane’s latest efforts move him into joint 25th – level with Fernando Morientes – going past Rooney, Kaka, Samuel Eto’o and Franciso Gento and Bayern great Arjen Robben all in one night.

The visitors threatened to complete an unlikely comeback with two goals in the opening five minutes of the second half.

But Kane restored the cushion for Bayern in the 57th minute, before Olise bagged his second of the evening to put the home side 5-2 up.

Goals from Raphael Gurreiro and Michael Olise gave Vincent Kompany’s men a commanding 3-0 lead at half time.

Kane managed eight goals in his first 21 Champions League games for Bayern, having found the net 21 times during his time with Spurs.

Kane will be hoping to rocket up the list this season, with Bayern eyeing a deep run in the new-look competition.

The new format will already include more games than ever before as 36 teams play eight games in a league style tournament.

Bayern reached the semi-finals last term, dumping out Arsenal along the way, before losing out to eventual champs Real Madrid.

It comes three days after Kane smashed Erling Haaland record for the quickest time to reach 50 goal involvements in the Bundesliga.

The 31-year-old reached 50 goal contributions in just 35 games, to Haaland’s 43.

Harry Kane reveals his favourite England goals

HARRY KANE is already England’s all-time record goalscorer.

But the Three Lions skipper will NOT be stopping there.

To mark his 100th cap for his country, Kane spoke to SunSport’s CHARLIE WYETT about some of his special England goals….

FIRST ENGLAND GOAL

“My debut v Lithuania. March 2015.

“There was a lot of talk in the build-up to that camp because I was playing well for Spurs.

“I got a great reception and within a couple of minutes I scored a goal.

“I don’t think I could have dreamed it any better.

“My friends and family were there. That was a really special night.”

FAVOURITE ENGLAND GOAL

“It’s between two, for me.

“Against Germany, the one at Wembley in Euro 2020.

“Also, the header against Tunisia at the World Cup in 2018.

“That moment of scoring a last-minute winner at my first World Cup was special.”

BEST ENGLAND GOAL

“The one I scored in Poland away in a World Cup qualifier in 2021. It was from 25 yards.”

(Kane picked up the ball from Kyle Walker, advanced towards goal and put his foot through it.)

“It kind of drifted away and it was a good strike, probably my furthest-out goal for England.”

MAFS UK groom makes TWO ultimate wedding day blunders as stunned fans say ‘this is a disaster’

A MAFS UK groom made two blunders on his wedding day, leaving stunned viewers claiming “this is a disaster”.

Nathan appeared on the E4 show tonight for the first time and within minutes left his bride in tears.

Lacey made the best of her day but also shed a few tears

Lacey’s sister Paige was not impressed

The 24-year-old was paired with Lacey, 27, on the marriage experiment show and they had a memorable day, but for all the wrong reasons.

Before they even met, Nathan got off on the wrong foot with Lacey’s family and friends, with his first blunder setting a very awkward tone for the big day.

His nerves seemed to get the better of him while waiting for Lacey to make her big entrace at the altar.

As is tradition, Lacey’s arrival was preceeded by her bridesmaids including her sister Paige.

When she glided up the aisle in a plunging pink dress Nathan turned around, and let out a huge gasp and a “wow”, believing that Paige was his bride.

Wedding guests quickly corrected him, but Nathan couldn’t take his eye off Paige.

When it was Lacey’s turn he looked disappointed, and could only muster up the compliment “you look nice”.

Rubbing salt into the wound, he then forgot Lacey’s name while saying their vows.

A tearful Lacey told the cameras that she wanted to feel “good enough”.

While it remains to be seen how the couple will recover, the wedding became one of the most talked about moments of the series so far.

One viewer raged: “There’s absolutely no way you can marry someone that said wow to your sister and told you, ‘you look nice’. It’s your sister he wants, not you!”

“Imagine the outright embarrassment of reacting like that to the sister, compared to your actual bride,” one viewer said.

Another said: “I’m no wedding expert but giving it the big coooooar at your brides sister is not a great start.”

At the reception, Lacey’s mum cornered Nathan, and said: “We have to address the elephant in the room. Nathan, what bride wears hot pink?”

Lacey also pulled him to one side at the end of the night to check that he hadn’t fancied her sister more.

Hee told her that he “froze” and added: “It wobbled me, it threw me a little bit.

“Maybe I’ve got a little bit of a barrier up. I’ve had one long term partner, she left and I went into a downward place.”

She replied: “That’s good to know, if you’ve got my back I’ve always got yours.”

Lacey added to the cameras: “From what I’ve seen today I’m still not one hundred per cent sure he is for me but I’m excited to see more.”

This isn’t the first dating show that Lacey has been on.

Mafs couples that have stood the test of time

Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.

The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.

Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.

Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.

Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”

Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.

Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.

“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.

“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’

“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”

Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.

Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.

They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.

Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
