THIERRY HENRY and Micah Richards have pinpointed Erling Haaland’s biggest flaw that “Harry Kane can do.”
The pair were both on CBS Sports last night to bring coverage of the latest Champions League matches.
Thierry Henry pointed out the one thing Haaland needs to improve on[/caption]After seeing Aston Villa and Liverpool win their fixtures, City went up against Italian champs Inter Milan looking to start their campaign with victory.
But Simone Inzaghi’s men dropped deep and their back five helped grind out a 0-0 draw.
Haaland barely had a sniff as City struggled to create chances.
And he also failed to drop deep in an attempt to get on the ball.
Haaland’s lack of involvement was a major talking point at full-time as the CBS studio dissected his performance.
Former Arsenal striker Henry questioned whether Haaland needs to improve his link-up play, insisting the Norwegian goal machine is unable to carve out opportunities like England captain Harry Kane.
Ex-Man City star Richards echoed Henry’s sentiments.
But he also insisted that it’s not an aspect of the beautiful game Haaland needs to be overly concerned about, having already netted nine goals this season.

Henry started the debate by saying: “Can he drop and get the ball?”
Richards fired back: “It’s not his game.”
But Henry was undeterred and continued: “I know it’s not but do you think he can drop, get the ball and make things happen?”
Richards answered: “Not as well as we’d like to see him, but I do believe his all-round game this season has improved.”
Henry noted: “Can he go in the middle and play like Kane can do? Right now? No.
“I think he can improve, but right now he can’t do that.”
City boss Pep Guardiola defended Haaland’s performance, saying: “There were six players around him, three behind, three in front.
“That makes it difficult for any player. We tried to use the spaces, that is why Gundogan had a couple of chances.
“We knew Inter would play like that. Credit to them. We created a couple of really clear opportunities but we didn’t score.”
MAN CITY are favourites to win the Premier League title yet again – but there is one elephant in the room that threatens to put the skids under the Etihad giants.
Sunsport’s MARTIN LIPTON discusses what the next few months could hold with Head of Sport SHAUN CUSTIS….
Custis: So the big question – will there be a resolution this season?
Lipton: Yes…. probably! We know the case will start to be dealt with in October or November.
It will take at least a month to go through the evidence. So I suspect around March, April time, we will get a result. But that’s where it starts to get tricky.
Custis: Why is that?
Lipton: If the result is in City’s favour, that’s the end of the matter. They will be cleared. They will have no punishment to face.
But if City are found guilty, these will be the heaviest penalties ever imposed by the Premier League.
I suspect if they are found guilty, they will be expelled from the league or given a massive points deduction and a huge fine so that they’re not in the Premier League next season.

ANTHONY JOSHUA heads into his heavyweight title fight against Daniel Dubois as the favourite.
But his potential demise could be hiding in the numbers.
Anthony Joshua was first beaten in 2019 by Andy Ruiz Jr[/caption]AJ has only ever lost three times, starting with a 2019 upset to Andy Ruiz Jr which he avenged six months later.
But after losing to Oleskandr Usyk in 2021, he later failed to win back the unified titles in the rematch a year on.
All three defeats followed a similar pattern, with Joshua’s downfall starting near round four.
According to stats provided by Compubox, Joshua lands an average of just over 11 punches in round four when he wins – but just six in defeat.
His punch accuracy also dips after the third round as well whenever he has lost but in victory, it is never lower than 30 per cent from the second to 11th.
AJ was outpunched 31-23 by Ruiz from the fourth round to the seventh – when he was stopped following FOUR knockdowns.
But things looked good after three rounds, having floored Ruiz himself and sharing 25-24 in punches landed.
In his first points loss to Usyk, over 12 rounds Joshua had 19.2 per cent punch accuracy, compared to the Ukrainian’s 28 per cent.

Dubois has also suffered defeat to Usyk, losing in round nine which came three years before a 10th-round stoppage to Joe Joyce.
He defends his IBF belt – for the first time – but even as champion he is considered the underdog.
But, if the stats are to be believed the fight could be decided less than half way into the all-British showdown.
Dubois, 27, comes into the bout off the back of two big wins over Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic.
Meanwhile Joshua, 34, is on a run of four wins since failing to win back the titles from Usyk, 37, in August 2022.
Much has been made of AJ’s newfound form – a throwback to his ruthless prime – as Joshua insisted he has never been better.
He said: “I feel better now. I feel better for sure. More seasoned, hardened. A lot more development.
“Not so much dependent on one or two things in the ring. I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve.
“Been the 12 rounds. My punching power has improved. Defence has improved, yeah I feel good, much better than I used to.”

DANIEL DUBOIS has quickly punched his way to dizzy heights in the boxing world – and his father Dave couldn’t be more proud.
Dynamite announced himself as a destructive puncher when he won all of his first 15 pro fights, 14 being knockouts.
Daniel Dubois is quickly becoming a superstar[/caption]And his incredible talent has helped him earn title shots against the likes of Tyson Fury slayer, Oleksandr Usyk and British legend Anthony Joshua.
But fans want to know who raised such a heavy-hitting boxer.
Daniel Dubois’ mother has kept herself out of the media but his father Dave is a former Camden Market street trader.
Dave – whose actual birth name is Stan – also used to travel to New York, United States in the 1980s where he would sell posters for a living.
Every other week he would pack a case full of African and Caribbean posters and get on a plane to Harlem to sell them.
Dubois’ father revealed that he made a million dollars in one trip and by 1997, he became a dedicated single parent once his financial future was secured and both mothers “accepted the situation”.
He fathers 11 children which includes Daniel and they were all born to two women – his first wife and subsequent girlfriend.
Boxing runs in the Dubois blood[/caption]Dave first took Daniel to a boxing gym in South London when he was 9 years of age as he believed that it shapes your character
He mentioned that Daniel could do push-ups for hours at a time by age 10.
And Dave has put his two sons Prince and Solomon on the same path along with his daughter Caroline Dubois who is an Interim WBC women’s lightweight world champion.
Caroline Dubois is British professional boxer who was born January 11, 2001.
Caroline is one of eleven children which includes her older brother, heavyweight boxer Daniel Dubois.
She also started boxing when she was nine, and her father wanted her to practice at the top club where Daniel trained.
The British star has won:
Daniel Dubois speaks very highly of his father and touched on the buildup to his huge upcoming fight.
Speaking to The Guardian, Dynamite said: “He’s a legendary man and I’m grateful he’s been in my life from day one.
“He’s in charge of most things but with boxing, he wants me to be the boss because I’m the one taking the licks.
“This fight is more intense than normal and it’s definitely the biggest of my career so far.
“But I love the buildup. It gets my blood boiling and I’m definitely in that killer mode.”
Daniel Dubois is all set to conest in a highly anticipated all-British bout against Anthony Joshua.

The two Londoners will clash for the IBF heavyweight belt after Oleksandr Usyk confirmed he was vacating the world title.
Dubois goes into this huge battle off the back of a stunning victory against Filip Hrgovic.
BARS will open especially for a one-off sporting event expected to be attended by thousands at Southwell racecourse.
The Nottinghamshire venue and Del Mar in California don’t have much in common – apart from a track.
City Of Troy will be the star of the show in his one-off Southwell gallop – with thousands expected to attend[/caption]But Southwell, which it’s fair to say is famed mostly for lower-level all-weather racing, could prove crucial in City Of Troy’s quest for history.

The Derby, Coral-Eclipse and Juddmonte-winning colt is aiming to become the first horse ever to win the Epsom feature and the Breeders’ Cup Classic.
Bookies make him 5-2 favourite although they expect those odds to shorten if he shines at Southwell.
The Classic, the feature of the two-day Breeders’ Cup meeting in Del Mar, is run on the dirt.
City Of Troy’s trainer Aidan O’Brien believes a run at Southwell is the best prep for his American adventure.
The Ballydoyle boss’ former Classic chances Giant’s Causeway and Galileo did the same, with the former going on to lose the Classic by a neck in all-time thriller in 2000.
Southwell are expecting a huge crowd considering no actual racing will take place.
Bars will be opened as well as Tote betting stalls, with action from elsewhere on Friday being shown on the big screen.
Some 1,200 people have pre-booked tickets but it’s expected a whole load more will rock up on the day to see a slice of history.
Clerk of the course John Holliday said: “Because of the interest he’s generated we’ll open some bars, the Tote will be open, we’ll put up the big screen and broadcast the racing off course before the gallops because we’re expecting them to be a little bit later in the afternoon. We’ll be open from 1pm.
“They’re bringing their own American stalls, their own stalls team, ambulance, vets.
“All the hardware’s arriving Thursday, and then the horses are arriving Friday morning. It’s a fairly big operation.
“It’s getting towards being a full-blown raceday from an organisational point of view.
“We have them in the stables, we’ve had 30-odd press requests, we’ve been asked for permission to film in the stables, I think it’ll be a busy old afternoon.”
Unfortunately ITV have been forced to drop their coverage of this year’s Breeders’ Cup.
But the Classic, which will be run on Saturday, November 2, will be shown live on Sky Sports Racing and Racing TV.
