Watch Micah Richards’ hilarious reaction after Arsenal hero David Raya reveals favourite CBS pundit in awkward interview

MICAH RICHARDS celebrated a big win in the Champions League… with the help of Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya.

Richards, who never made it past the last-16 of Europe’s elite club competition, was appearing on CBS Sports alongside Jamie Carragher, Thierry Henry and newly-married presenter Kate Scott – formerly Abdo.

Following Arsenal‘s game against Atalanta, which ended in a 0-0 draw thanks to a stunning double save from Raya which included a save from the penalty spot, the Spaniard appeared on the show.

During the interview, former Manchester City star Richards asked Raya who his favourite member of the CBS crew was.

In reply, Raya said: “Oh you put me right on the spot there.

“I like you all, but for me I think Micah takes it, he’s quite funny.”

This sparked a jubilant celebration from the 36-year-old, who then proceeded to get up before running over to the screen where Raya was and “hugging” and “kissing” him.

Richards also shouted “I love you”, towards the goalkeeper.

Fans loved Richards’ reaction, with one saying: “Who doesn’t love Big Meeks.”

A second said: “Big meeks all the way.”

Arsenal ratings vs Atalanta as Raya saves uninspiring Gunners in Italy

ARSENAL had some David Raya heroics to thank for a points in the Champions League opener.

Raya’s stunning double save just after the break spared Thomas Partey’s blushes after the midfielder gave away a penalty.

And that was the closest either side came to a goal in the 0-0 draw.

Here’s how SunSport’s Joshua Jones rated Mikel Arteta’s men…

David Raya – 9

Produced a simply stunning double save to stop Mateo Retegui’s penalty and then flung himself across to push away the follow-up rebound header – even better than his effort to deny Ollie Watkins.

Robbie Savage labelled it the “best save I’ve ever seen” while Gunners fans lauded their Spanish hero, who has conceded just once in five games so far this term.

Ben White – 7

Given the daunting task of trying to keep Ademola Lookman quiet inside a rocking Gewiss Stadium but completed the job with his classic relaxed, languid demeanour.

William Saliba – 8

One of the world’s top centre-backs but did not need to be anywhere near his best – solid enough when called upon, including excellent late sliding tackle in own box.

Retegui showed great movement but Saliba will have far sterner tests this season, none more so than up against Erling Haaland on Sunday.

Gabriel Magalhaes – 7

Like his partner Saliba, Gabriel helped ensure the Arsenal defence came out on top.

Starting to run out of words to say about this pair who just concede so few chances.

Jurrien Timber – 7

Adds an extra dimension to this Arsenal side – showing just how much he was missed when sidelined last season.

Arguably had the easiest evening’s work of the four defenders.

Thomas Partey – 4

Martin Keown described the Gunners’ retraction en masse during the transition as Arteta putting up his own “Thames Barrier”.

But Partey nearly allowed the floodgates to open by giving away the penalty three minutes into the second half – only to be rescued by Raya’s heroics.

Declan Rice – 6

Top awareness to sniff out the Atalanta danger and help control midfield.

But squandered a great chance to drive Arsenal forward when he won the ball on the halfway line and could have launched a potent counter.

Kai Havertz – 6

With Jesus starting up front, Havertz dropped into a deeper role – but he is perfectly comfortable there, too, and can carry the ball forwards.

Little to show for his evening, though, but continued to put a shift in defensively until the final whistle.

Buakyo Saka – 6

Drew the foul from Ederson who collected an early yellow and from the resulting free-kick almost squeezed a low effort into bottom corner but for top save.

Given a breather for final 20 minutes with an eye on Sunday.

Gabriel Jesus – 5

Captain on the night was his typical busy self early on getting himself around but virtually all of his involvement was outside the Atalanta penalty area.

Withdrawn before the hour mark.

Gabriel Martinelli – 4

Struggled to get in the game and then when he did get in, squandered a really good chance when he blazed over.

Definitely not hitting top form so far this season and may well find himself among the subs against Manchester City.

But things are about to get a whole lot worse for the household with Hope’s (Isabella Flanagan) antics.

However, an unsuspecting Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) is getting ready to celebrate her exciting 40th birthday with her family.

She has booked to go to the bistro for a lovely meal with her husband Tyrone on Coronation Street.

The question is, how will Fiz and Tyrone initially react and deal with the situation?

They will decide to try and talk some sense into their daughter over the dangers of the drug.

EastEnders favourites rally behind innocent Sonia Fowler as Reiss Colwell gets shock news

POOR Sonia has been locked up on suspicion of murdering Reiss’s wife Debbie Colwell, but EastEnders locals are going to show their allegiances as they rally around her.

The woman was shocked when she got clapped in handcuffs by cops at her engagement party.

But the residents of Walford have started to rally behind her[/caption]

Reiss is now coming under suspicion as Sonia’s sister begins to suspect he is the real killer[/caption]

What she didn’t realise is Reiss had smothered his comatose wife to make money off Debbie’s life insurance.

Sadly, because Sonia had kindly come to fluff up Debbie’s pillow shortly before her death and left fingerprints behind, she got framed for the murder.

Initially Walford residents did suspect that Sonia had done the deed to make sure Reiss was in a position to marry her.

However, upcoming episodes are going to see them change their mind and become supportive.

The tide began to turn when Kim Fox publicly backed Sonia, insisting on her innocence.

Alfie Moon then went on to make a box of T-shirts emblazoned with the slogan ‘Save Our Sonia’.

Now the Mitchells will throw their weight behind the nurse as well, creating a fundraiser in support of her.

Sonia’s half-sister Bianca has been taking the accusations against her family member very seriously and skips a GP appointment to attend the event at Mitchell’s Autos.

Besides offering her support financially, Bianca also starts publicly accusing Reiss of being the killer.

When he is banned from attending Debbie’s funeral, a sympathetic Martin decides to host a wake at The Vic so Reiss can pay his respects to his dead wife.

But when he starts to read out his eulogy for the woman he murdered, Bianca bursts into the pub, demanding answers.

She tries interrogating him, and when that doesn’t work, she goes on to try a new tactic.

Will Bianca be able to get a confession out of Reiss before it is too late and Sonia gets convicted for a crime she didn’t commit?

Amelia Spencer’s dark secret with Tom King exposed in Emmerdale

AMELIA Spencer has been hiding a dark secret about Tom King in Emmerdale, but it is set to be exposed next week.

It was revealed earlier this month that Amelia (Daisy Campbell) is romantically involved with Tom King (James Chase) and that they’d been keeping their affair secret for weeks.

And she’s set to help him make his return to the Dales[/caption]

Amelia has been at the centre of drama in Emmerdale in recent weeks as her baby daddy Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) was sent to prison. The teen mum also broke up with her boyfriend Noah (Jack Downham) before announcing her new relationship with the villainous vet.

Over recent months, ITV viewers have watched as Tom has relentlessly bullied and abused his wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper), which culminated in the calculated attack on her beloved dog Piper

Eventually Belle worked up the strength to leave her husband but he continued to manipulate her and keep tabs on her with hidden cameras.

When Tom went missing last week Belle hoped the ordeal was over, but it seems he’s not that far away.

After some digging, Amy (Elle Mulvaney) and Kerry (Laura Norton) both suspect that Amelia must still be in contact with Tom.

And that’s not all, as a dark secret about 18-year-old Amelia will be revealed next week – it seems she’s taken Tom’s side against Belle as the two make a plan together.

In scenes airing next week, Amelia will seek out Belle to talk about Tom, but the situation will take a terrifying turn.

After discovering the camera Tom hid in Dale Head, Belle considers reporting Tom to the police but she is afraid of having to relive everything she’s been through.

Having reflected, Belle asks Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) to share her experience reporting rapist Craig Reed (Ben Addis) to the police.

Whilst Belle’s left thoughtful, Lydia’s upset after bringing the memories back to life, but hopes it has aided Belle.

That evening, the pair reflect on their difficult day as they gaze over the Dingle land.

United in their support for each other, Lydia hopes she’s said enough to encourage Belle to go to the police.

As she ponders what to do, it seems that Amelia has revised her opinion of Tom and may offer some additional information before she makes her choice.

The teen reaches out to Belle in the hope of meeting privately to talk about him.

But Amelia can’t be trusted in this regard as she is now under Tom’s influence.

Darkest soap storylines

Over the years the likes of EastEndersEmmerdale and Coronation Street have all tried to try outdo each other with their outlandish plots in a bid to keep us tuning in each week. But here are some of the darkest that had fans in shock…

  • EastEnders: Tony grooming Whitney (2008-2009) – Tony King first appeared in Albert Square in 2008 as the boyfriend of Bianca, played by Patsy Palmer. But it was quickly revealed he was a paedophile who had been grooming vulnerable Whitney, Bianca’s adopted stepdaughter from a previous relationship, since she was 12. The shocking storyline attracted more than 200 complaints within a week of it beginning. Whitney waited until her 16th birthday to reveal the truth to a horrified Bianca, who called the police.
  • Emmerdale: Holly’s drug addiction and shock death (2010-2016) – In 2010, Holly Barton (played by Sophie Powles) became Emmerdale’s first teenage drug addict. The shocking storyline saw her taking cocaine on a night out before developing a deadly heroin habit. Parents John and Moira desperately tried to help get their daughter clean but when Holly returned in 2016, following a four-year absence, she quickly relapsed. Fans were left stunned and heartbroken when distraught Moira found Holly dead in her bed from a heroin overdose.
  • Hollyoaks: Luke’s rape (2000) – Actor Gary Lucy was just 17 when he took on this groundbreaking storyline, which saw his character Luke Morgan become soap’s first male rape victim. Luke had endured a long-running bullying campaign by football rival Mark Gibbs – who raped him after Luke stood up to him. Luke was left suicidal following the brutal attack, before opening up to his brother Adam. Gibbs was sentenced to eight years in prison. Gary won the Best Actor gong at the British Soap Awards in 2000 for his performance.
  • Coronation Street: Evil Richard Hillman (2001-2003) – Just a mere mention of ‘Richard Hillman’ is enough to send a shiver down the spines of soap fans. He is often ranked one of the most evil soap villains and it’s not hard to see why. The smooth-talking financial adviser bashed his ex-wife Patricia over the head with a shovel. In a bid to keep his mother-in-law Audrey quiet, he set fire to her house. And when Maxine caught him trying to murder Emily Bishop, he took a crowbar to her head. He made his exit from the cobbles in 2003 when he drove Gail Platt, played by Helen Worth, and her family into the canal. They survived, but he didn’t.
  • Alone at the Dingle’s, Belle waits for Amelia but is horror-struck when Tom lets himself in, blocks her exit and proceeds to lock the doors.
