B&M shopper clears shelves of garden bargains scanning for £10 instead of £80 perfect for autumn

B&M SHOPPERS are rushing to buy some garden bargains scanning for only £10 – and they’re perfect for autumn.

A Facebook user took to the social media platform to spread the word of the amazing discounts on two items that are ideal for keeping warm as we enter the colder season.

The retailer is selling Miami log burners and Tuscany fire pits for only £10.

The Miami log burner was originally £70 down to a tenner – a shocking 85.7% reduction.

While the Love Island-style Tuscany fire pit was on sale for £80 and is now also only £10 which works out to be an 87.5% drop.

The B&M shopper posted their find on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group with the caption: “B&M bargains.”

The post notched up hundreds of likes and comments from fellow bargain hunters in disbelief about the cheap finds.

One comment said: “We need to go to B&M straight away lol.”

Another tagged a friend, insisting: “We need one!”

And: “That’s good for the garden when in winter.”

Bear in mind, if you’re looking to snap up the trendy garden furniture for £10, you might not find them in your local branch so cheap.

Retailers tend to reduce items like this to clear stock in specific branches.

Always remember to shop around when buying something like this as well as you might find it cheaper elsewhere.

You can use websites like Price Spy and Trolley to compare prices on thousands of products across different retailers.

The Google Product tab is helpful for running a quick scan across the internet too.

How to save money at B&M

Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M’s scanner app.

The scanner lets you see if an item’s price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label.

Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift.

The app is free to download off the B&M Stores mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store.

According to one ex-B&M manager, you’ll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too.

What is the B&M scanner app?

SAVVY shoppers are using an app to find better discounts in stores.

Here’s how you can join the B&M bargain hunt:

  • Download the B&M app for free on any smartphone with an App Store or Google Play.
  • Once you’ve installed it on your device, click on the option labelled “more” on the bottom, right-hand side of the app home page.
  • You’ll then find an option that says “barcode scanner”. Click on this and you’ll open a camera screen.
  • Use the camera to hover over the barcode of the product you wish to check.
  • If the price comes up as lower, take it to the cash desk and it will automatically scan at the lower price.
  • You don’t need to sign up to the B&M app to use the barcode scanner.

This is when staff slash items to as little as 10p to clear excess stock and make way for new products.

Remember you can find your nearest B&M branch by using the retailer’s store locator tool on its website.

Keep an eye out for red sticker products as well, according to deals expert Tom Church.

These are put on special buy products that have also been reduced in price.

Strictly Come Dancing’s Amy Dowden shares emotional statement as she makes her return to show after cancer battle

AMY Dowden has emotionally thanked her Strictly Come Dancing family for their unwavering support during her battle with cancer as she returns to the show.

She made her return to the iconic dancefloor today and Amy, 34, said being back in the studio was an incredible feeling.

The show favourite sent a special thanks to returning professional Aljaz Skorjanec who she danced with on the night.

She said: “Tonight I return to @bbcstrictly doing what I love most DANCING with these talented souls.

“A big thank you to the entire strictly family on and off the dance floor for all your support through everything and to @jasongilkison for choreographing this beautiful number for my return!

“@aljazskorjanec for partnering me and making me feel confident.

“It was so special as I had my husband and family in the audience.

“Their first time watching me dance again!

“So grateful to everyone and excited for the months ahead. #whatadifferenceayearmakes Tune in tonight for the fabulous strictly launch show 7.20pm bbc 1 #keepdancing -#backwhereibelong #strictlyfamily #dance #strictlycomedancing.”

Fans who have rallied around Amy over the past two years replied in their droves.

One penned: “Awww so excited to see you back where you belong!”

Another said: “So excited to see you back in your happy place!!”

Amy shared a photo of the professionals dressed in school uniform inspired outfits.

She stood out from the crowd in pink in a symbolic outfit as she took centre stage in her first performance with her pals.

Tonight, Strictly will pay tribute to brave Amy who was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in May last year.

Amy Dowden's Strictly comeback

By Mary Gallagher, Senior Showbiz Reporter

Amy Dowden’s triumphant return to Strictly is a much needed boost of positivity for the show, after a year full of scandals and profesionals being axed.

Over the past 18 months, the fabulous Welsh dancer has been on a rollercoaster health journey.

In May last year, she was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer, had a mastectomy, and then faced chemo by the end of 2023.

And just when we thought things couldn’t get worse, she revealed doctors found a clot on her lung.

But, in true Amy style, she wasn’t about to let that stop her and just a month later, she made a beautiful and emotional return to Strictly for a special appearance in 2023, leaving us all grabbing for tissues.

Fast forward to this year, Amy opened up about that nightmare journey in a candid documentary about her treatments, Strictly Amy: Cancer and Me, which is available on BBC iPlayer and an insightful watch.

She’s now back to her fun-loving self – and is still a ray of sunshine.

Honestly, we can’t wait to see her light up the dancefloor for the 2024 series!

During that time, she underwent a mastectomy, chemotherapy, fertility treatment, and nearly died from sepsis.

She was given the all clear earlier this year.

Strictly’s Executive Producer, Sarah James said: “We are all so incredibly happy that Amy is back in the Strictly Ballroom.

“She will bring her sparkle, passion for dance, creative choreography and Welsh charm.

“Welcome back Amy, let’s make it the best year yet!”

Modern classic sports car turned into Batmobile with incredible bodykit and Lamborghini-style doors

CAR makeover specialists have given an old favourite a radical new look – and it’s something Batman wouldn’t be ashamed of.

Spanish design house Dragon Motors has taken the Audi TT, given it a cool new design and features and turned it into what they call the DragonTT Project Hero.

The Dragon TT version makes the car rather like this real-life ‘Batmobile’ which was put up for sale in Russia[/caption]

The kit adds a sizable extra 50cm to the original car’s length while the width is increased by 66cm.

The radical styling is inspired by the company’s previous work on motorcycles and movie cars, according to Autoexpress.

So far though, only on DragonTT has been built, supposedly for the Spain Future Foundation – a charity that aims to democratise technology for vulnerable groups in society.

Despite the car’s appearance with endless sharp creases and angular front bumper, Dragon Motors says the car is fully approved for road use.

Sharp-eyed Audi fans may be able to recognise the Mk2 TT’s head and tail-lights but externally that’s where the similarities appear to stop.

To match the jagged front bumper, the bonnet is similarly lairy, with countless cuts and scoops in the bodywork – all of which are made from either high-resistance fibre glass or carbon fibre.

The car has also been fitted with a set of Lamborghini-style scissor doors and bespoke mirrors and what appear to be unique alloy wheels.

The extensive modifications continue round the back.

A heavily vented deck has replaced the rear screen, possibly with the original window underneath.

The rear bumper also features more slices and ornaments.

Thanks to the position of the tailpipes, the number plate has been moved to the top of the bootlid.

The Batmobile styling continues inside too, thanks to a redesigned dashboard and instrument binnacle, while the Audi logo remains on the steering wheel and the traditional dials have been left untouched.

You’re in luck if you don’t have a second generation Audi TT but fancy giving your wheels a radical redesign as the team at Dragon Motors an offer a similar treatment to any motor you might have.

The firm’s website says it can provide a “custom, high-quality, designer product that sets you apart from the competition”.

It adds, the company “has the ability to develop, from scratch, the design and preparation to suit [its] clients, creating unique models with the highest quality of its newly-manufactured components”.

Under the bonnet, there’s the familiar range of Audi petrol engines from the period 2006-2014 – including the range-topping 2.5-litre five-cylinder motor from the TT RS.

Dragon claims it can convert the car to LPG – liquid petroleum gas – apparently “in search of respect for the environment” according to the website.

The company also says it has made “extensive” modifications to the suspension and brakes.

Dragon Motors doesn’t give a price for their work, so it’s probably safe to assume that any cost is on top of the base car – and used examples start from as little as £2,500.
