THE English Open is finally here – and some of the biggest stars in snooker are competing in Brentwood.
There will be a new champion this year after Judd Trump crashed out at the quarter-final stage to Wu Yize.

And as for snooker icon Ronnie O’Sullivan, he was elimated early on at the hands of Chinese star He Guoqiang.
When is the English Open 2024?
- The English Open gets underway on Thursday, September 12.
- On Monday, September 16, the TV stages begin with the likes of Trump and O’Sullivan in round three action.
- The competition will run until Sunday, September 22.
- The Brentwood Centre will host.
