Daniel Dubois made an embarrassing blunder on his Instagram account on Thursday evening ahead of his duel with Anthony Joshua at Wembley.
The two will fight in front of a record crowd of 96,000 in London on Saturday, with Joshua challenging his compatriot for his interim IBF heavyweight title.
It has been a busy fight week for the pair and tensions seemed to rise even further on Thursday night. Dubois warned Joshua that he wants to exploit the 34-year-old’s weaknesses by making him “uncomfortable” in the ring.
“I’ve got to take him back to that dark place and make him uncomfortable there, make him break down in the ring. That’s what I plan to do. He’s ready to take it now,” Dubois said.
During the press conference, the 27-year-old slammed his hands on the table in frustration after the two discussed a sparring session they had a few years ago in which he had defeated Joshua.

“It was sparring, now we’re fighting, this is different,” Joshua had said. Dubois replied, “Keep going,” before slamming his hand on the table.
After the interviews were completed, Dubois posted a number of photos of himself on his Instagram account during the press conference and was also photographed answering questions before going into battle with his opponent.
In the caption of the post, Dubois appeared to have forgotten to remove a message that accompanied the text, which has since been deleted.
The caption read: ‘Here’s a strong and exciting captain for the final press conference: The final press conference is over – the talking stops here. Now it’s time to let the fists do the talking. I’m ready for this fight. Let’s go.’
Dubois also added a boxing glove emoji and an explosion emoji to the caption.
The British fighter enters Saturday’s match with his last two wins coming against Filip Hrgovic and Jarrell Miller. He boasts a 21-2-0 record, with his only losses coming to Oleksandr Usyk in 2023 and Joe Joyce in 2020.
However, Dubois is keen to continue his current winning streak with a win over Joshua, saying he is fully prepared to fight on Saturday.
