With a base price of £700/$700, it’s Sony’s most expensive console to date, but it is also missing features that came with the original PS5’s release.

The disc drive and the vertical stand will need to be bought separately, inflating the price even further.

Fans who were interested in purchasing the console initially were turned off by the price, but they may be pulled back in by the latest announcement.

PlayStation is releasing a new range of consoles and accessories with the iconic style from the original PSone.

The range features a PS5 Pro and PS5 Slim console in the classic light grey that the Psone is known for.

It also features the red, blue, and yellow original PlayStation logo, with a darker grey for the stripes and inner part of the shell.

There are also three accessories available in the new colours; a PS Portal, a DualSense controller, and a DualSense Edge controller.

The DualSense Edge is PlayStation’s premium controller with exchangeable analogue sticks and buttons.

These accessories have the same grey colourings, with the colourful PlayStation logo, as well as pink, red, green and blue face buttons.

Gamers will be able to buy the PS5 Pro and PS5 Slim in a bundle that comes with a DualSense controller, and a charging cable that looks like the cable used to attach controllers to the PSone.

The bundle will also include a cover for the disc drive to match the consoles, if players choose to purchase it separately.

The boxes for each accessory and console also match the box of the PSone with the exception of the PS5 Pro which is all white.

PlayStation has not announced a release date or price for any of the 30th anniversary-themed products, but they are likely to be more costly than their regular versions.

Despite this, PlayStation fans love the nostalgia of these designs and they are likely to sell out pretty quickly.

With the announcement of these designs so soon after the PS5 Pro reveal, it has helped to soften the blow of the console’s price.
