PSL rivals tussle for Kaizer Chiefs star on deadline day!

Kaizer Chiefs have done the bulk of their transfer business regarding incomings with outgoings taking centre stage again.

Chiefs will be looking to ensure they have a healthy squad going into the season, with quality over quantity.

Radebe on Chiefs transfer list

As it stands, their squad looks bloated, with much of the ring players from the previous season still there. One of those players being academy product Sabelo Radebe. Since being promoted from the DDC side a couple of seasons ago ‘Bibo’ has failed to live up to his billing. Several coaches have come and gone, including his former youth coach Arthur Zwane. But, he has failed to convince any of them of his quality. It has been no different for new coach Nasreddine Nabi who has put him on the transfer list at Chiefs.

Now according to Soccer-Laduma, three PSL sides are keen to take Radebe off of Chiefs’ hands!

“Sabelo Radebe is one of the players that the (Chiefs) coach has indicated needs to go on loan to gain more game-time. The midfield is packed with experienced and high-quality players, some of whom are currently outperforming Sabelo. It wouldn’t be fair to keep him on the sidelines while he trains every day. Hence, the decision to loan him out and allow him to play regularly is crucial,” said the source.

The source also added that Chiefs are hoping to find a suitable club to loan Radebe to.

Three interested!

“It’s not just about loaning out a player; it’s important that he goes to a club where he (Radebe) will actually play. There has been interest from SuperSport United, as coach Gavin Hunt is familiar with him, as well as from AmaZulu and Stellenbosch FC. The remaining task in the next few days is to talks determine which team is the best fit for him and to agree on the terms of the loan deal. The club (Chiefs) is working diligently to ensure this happens before the transfer window closes on Friday,” concluded the source.

Chiefs fans, would you like to see Radebe gain more experience on loan? Which of the three clubs should Amakhosi management choose? Feel free to leave your thoughts and feelings in the comments below.
