Hickory City Schools has announced that it will hold Latino Night on Thursday, October 10, starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Hickory High School Media Center (1234 3rd Street N.E. in Hickory). Refreshments will be provided.
The event is designed to support high school families, especially those navigating the college application and financial aid process. A bilingual representative from the College Foundation of North Carolina will be present to assist English as a Second Language parents in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Information will be available to parents who have questions about paying for college or the financial aid process.
In addition to the FAFSA support, Hickory High School counselors will host a Q&A session to address various high school-related topics. Families will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers in real time, ensuring that their concerns are addressed in a clear and accessible manner.
