Elizabeth Clark, Marketing Coordinator at the Hickory Metro Convention Center & Visitors Bureau, has completed the Southeast Tourism Society Marketing College’s three-year program and earned certification as a Travel Marketing Professional. Ms. Clark is the second Convention Center employee to complete the program. Sarah Davis Jones, Director of Sales & Marketing, graduated in 2022.
Ms. Clark helps to coordinate the implementation of the Convention Center’s brand, raising awareness of the Hickory Metro region as an inviting destination. Social media presence, destination guide creation, public relations & media site visits, client retention, and other items are among the items under Ms. Clark’s purview.
Ms. Clark was among 76 graduates in the Southeast Tourism Society’s Class of 2024. The graduates were announced at the organization’s conference in Auburn, Alabama on September 11. The program began in 1992 and has produced more than 1,400 graduates.
