An iconic Mexican restaurant has closed after 12 years along the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood.
Pink Taco abruptly announced the shut down on Monday with a sign on its door saying “Sorry we’re closed.” The reason for the closure was unclear, but the message went on to thank the restaurant’s loyal customers.
“Effective 9/16/2024 Pink Taco – Los Angeles is closed for business. Thank you to all our West Hollywood visitors. You will be greatly missed.”
The popular location at 8225 Sunset Boulevard was also listed as permanently closed by the business review company Yelp.
Pink Taco first opened its doors in West Hollywood in 2012 after being founded by Harry Morton in Las Vegas in 1999.
Three Pink Taco locations still remain in New York, Boston and Washington D.C., according to its website.
