‘I wasn’t ready’ says Marnie Simpson about doing Celeb SAS: Who Dares Wins just 10 months after giving birth

MARNIE Simpson has today admitted that she “wasn’t ready” to do Celeb SAS: Who Dares Wins just 10 months after giving birth.

The Geordie Shore star, 32, is part of the line-up of stars taking part in the new series.

Despite the show kicking off next week (September 26), it was actually shot over a year ago.

In fact, filming took place less than a year after Marnie gave birth to her second child.

The gruelling show – known for being brutal and dangerous – proved too much for the new mum.

In fact, conditions were so bad that Marnie left the show after just 32 minutes.

The reality star now admits she “wasn’t ready” to do the series.

Speaking to The Mirror she said: “I don’t think I realised just how tough it was going to be I think I was being a bit delusional.

“Mentally and physically I just wasn’t ready for it.”

Reflecting on whether she would sign up to Celeb SAS again, she said: “But I do think I’d tackle things differently if I ever did a show like this again.

“I’d make sure I was in better shape, both physically and mentally. “

Meanwhile, last month Marnie reignited her feud with Charlotte Crosby a year after they clashed.

Charlotte dramatically quit the last series of the MTV show and flew home early from filming in Cyprus after a number of rows

Both Marnie and mum-of-one Charlotte unfollowed each other on social media following the dramatic showdown.

Marnie then took another swipe at Charlotte just before Geordie Shore‘s next series.

She told fans: “I really enjoyed it this time, I feel like it went really well and had such a good time, a lot better than the last time.”

Marnie was replying to an Instagram follower who asked her how filming this year’s series compared to the last.

Earlier this year Marnie broke her silence on the fallout to The Sun – insisting she ‘won’t reach out to Charlotte first’.

She said: “I’ve lived in London for seven or eight years, so I never really seen Charlotte that much, I used to talk to her a lot on social media and WhatsApp, but we weren’t heavily in each others lives.

“I think it’s a shame because the memories what we got, it’s a shame that we’ve lost the friendship but it is what it is.

“It doesn’t get us down, I’m not losing any sleep over it.

“I’m just focusing on the positive this year, I don’t want to focus on any negatives.

“I want to surround myself with people who uplift me and make me feel good and who want the best for us.”

Charlotte, 34, also spoke out, breaking down in tears recalling the incident.

The star previously explained: “It just ended up going so terribly wrong. I don’t know why but the whole series, I later discovered, was a bit weird.”

While Charlotte did not name any specific cast members, she explained: “There was a silly argument, over a high chair of all things, that escalated. And I just left.”
