JOEY Essex is in talks for a £1million payday as he eyes up a shock career change as a boxer.
The lad, 34, is best known as a face of reality TV but is now vying to become king of the ring with a number of huge names in talks to become his opposition.

Tommy Fury, rapper KSI and Jake Paul are in line to take on the Towie original in a huge, marquee fight in 2025.
Also in talks is Youtube boxer Deji Olatunji.
Celebrity promoters Misfits Boxing are negotiating Joey’s first fight, which is scheduled to be in Qatar during November.
Confirmation of the TV personality’s opponent is expected in the next few days, with the high-profile bout against the huge name star to follow next year.
A source said: “Joey’s always been into his fitness but in recent years has become more and more passionate about boxing.
“Joey is excited about this new venture and looks forward to one day taking on the titans of the ropes.”
Joey is the nephew to esteemed British trainer Tony Sims, who once coached Anthony Joshua and currently works with Conor Benn.
Co-founder of Misfits Boxing, Mams Taylor has spoken about Joey’s hopes in the ring before.
He said: “Joey’s got family background in boxing so I think he’s excited to get in the ring and we’re excited to have him.
“Joey’s going to be very committed, we’ve spoken daily for the last few days and he’s really on it.”
Ever since launching in the summer of 2022, Misfits has been the home to crossover and celebrity-style fights.
So Joey – who first shot to fame on ITV‘s hit show TOWIE – will have no shortage of famous opponents lining up to face him.
Taylor said: “I’ve got a list for him and we’re going to go through it and figure it out.
“If Joey builds up, has a good few fights and develops a lot of skill and it will be a fair fight and a challenge, then anything is possible down the line.”
Joey has previously insisted he would “WALLOP” KSI and claimed there is friction between the pair.

HE’S the reem and preened king of reality TV – but Joey Essex fancies reigning a whole new realm.
The Sun today reveals that the Towie and Love Island star is in talks for a £1million payday with Misfits Boxing – and there’s a string of beefy blokes ready to take him on.
As Deputy TV Editor of The Sun, I know little about the sport or whether Joey’s next move could end with him flat on his back.
But I can speak to his determination and resilience.
You don’t become a millionaire reality star without hard graft, tough skin and being willing to go above and beyond to get the job done.
Sure, in my world that means something like risking his hard-won reputation forged over ten years in TV to go on Love Island this summer.
But in boxing that will mean busting his arse in training and leaving everything on the mat.
He throws himself at every project 100% and, with the passion he feels for boxing, I’ve no doubt this time will be no different.
With his new buzzcut, he doesn’t even need to worry about messing up his hair.
