(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is investigating a shooting early Sunday morning that left one person injured around 6:15 a.m. The suspect is in custody, and a shelter-in-place order in the area of Voyager Parkway and Interquest Parkway has been lifted.
According to CSPD, officers responded to an apartment complex on Nahcolite Point and found a victim injured by gunfire. The suspect had driven away.
Additional gunshots were reported near Voyager Parkway and Spectrum Loop, prompting a shelter-in-place order. CSPD said the suspect returned to the apartment complex and was taken into custody around 7:15 a.m., at which point the shelter-in-place was lifted.
Police are searching for additional locations where shots were fired and confirmed that some businesses were also hit.
